What he did to Sahil, in legal terms should be kidnapping, but he definitely used Sahil against Annika, a case of classic extortion. In the real world, he would be serving a verrry long sentence in jail for that, and I would love to his khoon, khandaan aur bloodline save him then.

I don't think anyone will defend him today. What he did was disgusting, and made me loathe him. I agree, there was absolutely no sympathy towards him today. In the scheme of things, Shivaay's ideologies fall short and all that remains are his terrible prejudices, and extremely judgemental viewers. I keep saying this, and this is why I was so unhappy when Daksh turned out to be an evil psychopath stalker, but I just want Annika to be happy. WIth or without SSO - and judging by today's episode, I assumed that currently, the ball would fall towards the latter.

And I completely agree with you about Nakuul. I've always thought he was fantastic in angsty/loving family scenes, so seeing him excel at being so cold, dicky and manipulative is a refreshing, and wonderful change. I also think Surbhi was fantastic in today's episode!

Oh, Surbhi was magnificent. But you see, for me, she is Annika. You know how you imagine Voldermort and the only face you see is of Ralph Fiennes? Because he is just that bloody good? And no, I did not commit a blasphemy and compare Surbhi to Ralph. You get my point, though? Surbhi is Annika. It might be because this is the first time I have seen her in any show, but she just carries Anika with aplomb.

Nakul has been a little inconsistent. Ever since the party where they got drunk, he's changed his way of talking, his voice has dropped a little and sometimes I have trouble understanding his articulation. That throws me off. It breaks the fourth wall. But today, I had no complaints at all. He was that good!

I mean how can a woman be treated like this ...this is not at all romantic but cheap...I thought when I talk about ur lineage ok ts about ur behavior not ur stubbornness ...when they say royal family u expect decency...

I don't think if Annika as portrayed as a self respecting girl ever forgiving him...I for one would not ,even if that meant I will have to kill my heart thousand times and any kind of feeling it had...
Why don't they stop this ... can't they show more rght things rather than showing violence...
Phew ... I think I don't have the guts to see a crying and beaten Annika...
I guess these manhandling is going to become a 'by default ' setting for three brothers...for the respective love...

I was just thinking instead of Annika questioning him should have just called Omru or Dadi...atleast she would not have become the Bakra...

Annika just don't make it easy for him but u know wat these CVs will bring it to a point where we ourselves s would say Annika please forgive him...it's their usual trick...

His redemption is something that I really doubt coz in Indian shows FL are too kind and Mahaan...

I know, the whole premise of this episode, and moreover this track, is actually extremely upsetting and disappointing.
I hope Annika doesn't forgive him anytime soon, because I want his redemption to be long and torturous for him, because what he pulled today was disgusting. And using Sahil to emotionally blackmail Annika is even worse, because you think that of all people, Shivaay SIngh Oberoi would understand the importance of brothers.
The CVs are so frustrating with their almighty, queen of goodness female leads - it's unrealistic and annoying to watch. To date, Annika is the most realistic Gul Khan lead though, so I really hope that they have a change of heart with her character, and make sure that she maintains her self-respect throughout this whole ordeal.

No, you didn't commit any blasphemy, lovely! I understand where you're coming from 😆
I must confess, I really don't like Nakuul's drunk acting, even though I love him!
Today, though? Holy heck, his acting was on point.

Man I have been venting so much about this. Tbh I have watched other GK shows too and I knew well enough from my experience to not have any expectations..and yet, it was shocking. I used to think her other shows glorify manhandling-wala pyaar but looks like she has reached new heights here! And how is ANY of this, whatever SSO has been throwing her way for a while, even remotely romantic? And how can someone like Anika (an strong, independent girl with self respect, as we were initially shown) go back to loving SSO after THIS? I know why he's been acting this way, I understand this all stems from a big FAT MU, but as a woman and above all as a human, I don't think this is something you can just forget or forgive..I can come up with plenty of reasons for the way he treated Anika today, but NOTHING truly justifies it. We're told that telly shows have progressed a lot in terms of thinking and outlook toward things, but I feel like deep down nothing much has changed. Even after all this, I won't be surprised if we don't get a proper redemption track for SSO (past experiences:/). Because love is mahaan and Anika loves him like crazy, she would forgive him like today never happened.

We all know that these stories should not necessarily relate to real lives but still I would like to ask the CVs, do they really think that a girl can ever forgive a man like after how he behaved with her today? even if the girl is madly in love, nothing is more dear to her than her own honor and self respect.
But, taking it as a TV show..waiting for the ways how SSO is going to be our hero in the upcoming episodes😕

^^^Butting in but this is exactly what has been bugging me since the drunk epi. His normal way of talking has changed. There are times when I have to strain my ears to understand his dialogues. While the drunk epi is my all time favorite and I abso-freaking-lutely ADORED the two in that epi, listening to Shivaay's drunk voice all the time is a bit unnerving😆 But in terms of acting, Nakuul has improved a LOT, like REALLY a lot. And even though I hated SSO's guts today, Nakuul was perfect!

Absolutely spot on. Couldn't have put it any better myself. When Shivaay was slapped, I nearly laughed out , him getting what he deserves for all the crap and the absolutely selfishness he's been oozing off late. And then started the bit which has me thinking if I should just go off the show. By continuing to watch this I don't want to be part of something which could potentially contribute to furthering the misogynistic society we live in. Nayi soch would have meant shivaay potentially looking embarrassed with what he's said even if he doesn't apologize and then taking out his anger by getting her to marry him. Moment he put that shoe on the bed next to her. It was done for me. Even if two out of ten people think that's okay because they 'love' each other, we are contributing to the mentality which in it's extreme is the rape and marital rape culture. Shivaay abused her. May be she shouldn't have butted into his business but in an ideal tv world his behavior shouldn have followed. It was repulsive. I don't think I want to watch the show for a while either.

I'm actually a little disappointed with Nakul and Surbhi. Though the acting was phenomenal, an honestly I don't know how it works but they seem the thinking kinds and it's sad they agreed to do such a scene. May be I'm being too critical but I'm mad! And sad!

I don't in any way condone violence at all...especially against women...but you all are expecting Omkara behavior form Shivvay...when they are 2 polar opposites, especially when he is angry...he loses all connection with reality, and resorts to violence to get his way. He threatened to rape her in the pool too...agreed, today's insinuation was a bit more blatant. His journey will be to become the better man all the time...that is what Annika will need to teach him to be...to lead him there.

Haha! I thought I was the only one! I didn't like his drunk acting but then I thought may be it was a one-off thing. May be he was just having a bad day. But when they were doped up on the pain killers and were tripping balls, even then he was a little stilted. Tabhi I was like, nope. Me no like.

I felt bad for Anika ...
Is it love !
For me it is not ...
Don't know ... Really don't know what to say
