His pain is very much self inflicted 💔 He has the right to marry whoever he wants but feels the responsibility to uphold the family name and business. So he decided to go with his mind and go for the latter Had Daksh been not in the scene he would've married Tia and then made a puppy face when Annika's job is over and leaves 😆 Hoping to see a similar scene like Annika's breakdown scene in her house for SSO as well tomorrow where he introspects as to why he reacted the way he did today. So far he never acknowledged himself that he is in "love" with Annika , but always projeced his feelings on to her saying she likes him. "Farq padta hain"realisation has only happened now , until now he was taking her for granted.

Shades of Arnav Khushi, Lavyana and Shyam people! The situation is pretty close paralleled, only there has been SOME growth on the part of the male lead (not a cruel jerk), and the female one (not a childish saint) -- At least SSO didn't get engaged to a perfectly decent, loving, nice girl out of spite and cowardice --Shivaay was already all set to marry Tia before Anika entered his world, which helps, somewhat.

But coming to the TM, I thought long and hard about her words (excellent post, BTW), and I think, the words are not 100% valid--YET. They WILL be 100% valid-TOMORROW. Just my opinion, so please don't get upset, but everyone posting here seems to be rational, nice forumwasis with a very civil nature, so I'm going to go out on a limb!

See, there is a defence for the idea he spoke for her--she has let him do exactly this before-- and to Daksh. She answered Shivaay at the poolside, though he didn't deserve the answer and had no right to get it-- "I said no, what do you think?" And though he didn't deserve it, upto that point, she gave him his due, he got the response he wanted. Dil ko thandak mila.

And when she accused Daksh of being the stalker and Tia was being a grade A witch and demanding she apologize, Shivaay spoke FOR her, TO Daksh. She let him do that, too. That's a huge transition for these two -- from not saying sorry to her, ever, to him saying sorry to someone else, ON her behalf. Other posters back then pointed out to me that this was very significant, since "Uksi taraf se me bolti hu" is only valid, or accepted, when the "uski" and "mei" are family, or when that person is close enough to you to be able to take decisions for you, or to voice things you did not say. Its a haq. That's why Tia questioned it, right away.

So today, his "No means No, Don't embarrass her,Stop it, her answer is NO!" --- of COURSE it came from the "mine mine mine!" four year old inside this idiot of a man. The sulky kid who wont play with this Anika toy, will break this toy, but woe betide anyone who reaches for the toy--uski haat tor dunga. Of course, it was an indefensible bit of male ownership, the whole "I will do whatever I want, but you, pretty toy, will stay there, on the sidelines, so I can stare at you until I am 50."

It came from his rage, and even his defensive move towards her when Daksh dances and touches her, (LIKE HE WAS DOING) and Shivaay leaves Tia to aggressively go and try to stop that nonsense. I mean, he has no right to stop it, really, but he has been given the rights over her body, to protect it, defend it, fight for it. She let him have that right, UNTIL last night, and took that right back, TODAY.

ALSO the right to speak for her is something he has exerted in the past, too, no objection-- Anika will do this, will go here, will go home with me, will rest, will drink juice, will not be stupid and be a musibbat magnet, will be protected, will listen to me." And she..agreed. he could say those things for her, he could choose what she would do.

Dont forget, from Shivaay's perspective, she is completely blindsiding him., changing the rules of their relationship. He has no idea what he lost last night. He's just continuing on doing what has been allowed to him before.

What she took back today was his rights, period. Not her love, but his haq. And what she did--giving those rights to someone else, giving him nothing more than what HE, Shivaay has given her--that will result in him truly turning into a hypocrite when he manhandles her, going forward.. That is when the possessiveness becomes abuse--when you TAKE it by force, as opposed to being given it by trust. That will be him being an ass, when (if??) he says offensive things about her izzat / character because she spent a night in her fianc's bedroom. Because that is something HE thought he was doing with Tia not too long ago, with the candles and the romantic blowing curtains and the wrong woman. He was okay with it then, when he thought Tia was seducing him, like 70% of women in modern day India today might do, with the man they are committed to.

Tomorrow, his judgment, his rage, his manhandling will earn him the TM's comment. Because until today, he has right to speak, to protect, to defend and to do haq jatana--she gave him these, whether he deserved them, or earned them, or was marrying Tia or not.

Tomorrow, he no longer has jack.

He doesn't know wat he wants from himself and from her!

Doesn't even realize why he is doing this...to hurt her, to push her away or to pull her closer

He is running away from his own feelings but not even for a moment can see her or even think about her with someone else!

He wanted to question her a lot m sure, scream at her, tell her that she belongs to him but he knew he couldn't...coz he did the same...he had no right to question her...hence the Congratulations!

She was shaken...deeply hurt that he Congratulated her...so she retaliated the hurt back with a thank you!

Both were equally hurt, pained! 💔

Muuuaaauwwwah!! ❤️ Thank you so much for this much needed explanations. 🤗
Besides...he has applied double standards from day one...this is nothing new!! Why are people so shocked. In fact...today, i think he has matured a lot more than before...he doesn't question her because he knows he has no haq to do it...but that in no way takes away the pain he is feeling at seeing her be tied to someone else. His heart is hurting...and he knows why...but he is majboor...he cannot change his decision...so we will see that destiny will interfere and change it for him!!😛

It's seem more like karma to me. He is sad, but he isn't saying she can't be with another. He told her not place any importance on her feelings and now she is doing just that 😆
He might have just realized what he lost, but he can't say anything because he is marrying another woman himself. I felt bad for him, but I feel worse for her because she doesn't know what a creep he is.

I agree ! It's so frustrating to watch him want her to choose him, and yet he's 2-3 days into marrying Tia! What happens after he is officially married? Just cry as she says farewell and leaves the mansion?
Cowardly. You wanna love her, you love her properly with dignity and respect. If not people will say nasty things about her like they do about Svetlana.

You may be hurting Shivaay, but she is too. You have offered her nothing, for her to choose you.🥺

You nailed it girl

Also I think it's not about her being available for him. Shivaye has never shown inclination if that sort . I don't think we should accuse him of wanting to have relationship with her after his marriage

It's just that he refuses to acknowkwdge his love and he refuses to understand that once he is married she will be gone forever

He is confused . I don't think he was thinks no So far ahead as wanted a relation with her

Basically he is or was just taking her for granted

I'm afraid I can't agree with you because the actual proposal to Tia only took place after he decided he needed to escape from his feelings & cut off any unwanted thoughts about Annika. Tia's response to the proposal showed that up until that point, even Tia wasn't sure if she was ever going to marry Shivaay.

I do understand that it is not easy to move away from your believes especially when, in your mind, it involves your family name and pride. But being a huge Shivika fan, I feel like shaking him & getting him to man up & just embrace what is so obvious to the people who sincerely care, Om, Rudra, Dadi ie that they both love each other, can't live without each other and ought to end up together.

👏👏👏 brilliant as usual.

But i guess I need to explain my use of "double standards". To me it was more of allowing himself to move on with life and seek a life partner but acting like she was not entitled to that same right.

This after making it very clear that she should not give in to any feelings she may have viz-a-vis the both of them, he could never accept her as a life partner & she will never be considered 1 of them, she will never be family (as is his current devil of a fiancee).

Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the current sequence flow coz I'm already day dreaming ahead to when they acknowledge their feelings to each other - I'll probably end up watching that scene a million times - but until we get there...it's gonna be a lot of "what the..." in reaction to Shivaay & "go girl!" sentiments for Annika.

Loved the pre-cap where she is giving as good as she gets 👍🏼
