I agree with you completely!

Annika deserved some genuine attention from someone who was worthy of her affection.

I really hoped that this Daksh character would be that perfect, charming prince-like figure that Annika longed for. A man who was kinder than Shivaay; a person who did not care for her name or status or family background. In fact, I was so hopeful when Daksh first asked Annika what her name was, he didn't ask "Sirf Annika?" or "What's your surname?" I just really wanted someone noble and completely deserving of Annika's infatuation.

I would have loved to see a subtle attraction between the two, which would then have incensed Shivaay because he felt insecure of their camaraderie. It would have been wonderful to witness Annika arrive at the conclusion that she could have such a perfect and wonderful man, but she does not love him the way she loves Shivaay. Daksh could have been the character that opened both their eyes.

Instead, Daksh has been such a disappointment, in every way. His intentions are dubious, at best and to be quite honest, he does not even intimidate me as a villain either. He just seems weird, and not in Annika's cutely quirky way. He doesn't come across as a villainous psychopath to me - not by Joker standards at least, or an evil mastermind. He appears to be a loony goon hired to accomplish his mistress' evil ploy.

Speaking of which, I always hoped for Tia to emerge as an honourable, honest woman who would let Shivaay go if she knew that his happiness lay elsewhere. And so I was very disappointed that the CVs took the stereotypical route and had Tia transform into the manipulative, lying, cheating vamp.

Anyway, I feel for Annika. The poor girl deserved to be swept off her feet by someone who was sincerely attracted to her.

CVs if you are reading this - you don't make it easy to like you. I always question your writing capabilities, and I hope that you start giving us proper story lines rather than the half-baked plots and cliched, predictable crap that we've so far witnessed.

I agree with you I wanted a guy like Rehan from QH 2 who is respectful and doesn't come off looking like a creep. Was that too much to ask for? I wish they had brought in that same actor for the cameo role too.
This guy Daksh is an idiot I don't see anyways for Shivaay to be jealous of him as a matter of fact Shivaay is much better than him. Daksh doesn't behave like a normal man he just meet her wait a few conversation more before proposing.

Disappointed with this jealousy track.

In my opinion they shouldn't have made Rana Mallika fiance. Rana was a damn good choice for a jealousy track. He was a rich man and ignorant like SSO but he treat Anika well from the first meeting itself and I enjoyed the Rana & Anika interaction I so wish he had stay back longer for 2 months.

So true..!! I am highly disappointed...!!
they are showing Annika with no option and she has become very easily available for Shivaay..
He keeps her telling to mind her own business, but she is hell bend on interfering with ShiTia 'happiness'...!!

I wished someone from Annika's past.. may be from the college where she used to work..!! But ALAS!!!!

Its totally disappointing coz i thought even if its jealousy from shivays side at least the guy could be a cupid to make them realize their feelings. Instead we get a freak who either is a psycho or mixed with tia trying to mess with shivika. I thought both shivika and rumya would have this parallel jealousy track leading to the realization but daksh is so crazy totally messed up n now we have some stalker situation due to bua in the mix. At least with rumya reyaan though lame makes sense coz he really loves sumo n they have a history so rudra should fear losing her to him which is now more amplified due to their secret marriage status. Why couldnt daksh be more like NK from ipkknd he wasnt a real threat but still played a significant part.

Was it really too much to ask?
All I really wanted was for Annika to have a guy who fell head over heels in love with her, so Shivaay could see what he was missing out on. I think that this was the only reason that I was really looking forward to the jealousy track - I wanted Daksh to be Annika's ideal guy, for him to fall for her, and for her to reciprocate with at least some attraction.

Instead, at the moment, we have been handed a psychopath on a silver platter.

Daksh is freaking nuts. No one, no one, meets a girl, interacts with her for six hours max., and falls so hard for her, that he proposes to her the next time he meets her. Is that really plausible, CVs?

The other option we have is the one that SBS has constantly been mentioning, about Daksh helping Tia.

Which I think is even worse. Why couldn't the CVs allow for Annika to have one guy, as perfect as they come, to fall in love with her? Why, when Shivaay has a fiancee that wants him (or is using him), Om had a girlfriend, Rudra has multiple girlfriends, and heck, even Saumya has a boyfriend, why could Annika not be given a significant other as well?

I think Annika's character is undeniably deprived, and love-starved.
God, with Shivaay being such a freaking idiot with his blind trust in Tia, and all, I wish she could just get a happy ending. With or without Shivaay.

To the CVS, if you are reading this, I had high hopes for this Daksh jealousy track and at the moment, they're all sinking.
Please prove us all wrong, and surprise your audience with a fantastic aftermath to this whole Daksh fiasco.

... and an AMEN!!!! to that😊

I think you misunderstood her point...she meant that she wanted another man to come into Annika's life and also fall head over heels in love with her so that Shivaay could understand her worth. :)

I sometimes feel Om knows Anika better than Shivaay does.
I had hoped Shivaay would see them together and burn and so much more

N now we have Daksh.. 🤢

I completely agree.
How much more impactful would that be, right?
A man in Annika's life that she actually prioritised over the Oberoi's for once - as you said, an old friend would have been perfect. It would have been a wakeup call to Shivaay who is genuinely under the impression that Annika's world revolves around him and his family.
Geet made a post ages ago about the photoframe fall scene and she pointed out how Shivaay basically puts Annika on a pedestal of sorts. How he essentially assumes that she can't have flaws, so when he realises that she does, it's a real blow to him.
Because, as you said, Shivaay doesn't know her.
Yes, he has the extremely cliche ESP around her, but apart from that, Annika hasn't imparted any personal information to him, or anyone, for that fact. I'm kind of frustrated with Annika being portrayed as some sort of enigma at this point, because come on, he's nearly in love with her and yet, he doesn't know anything about her. It'll be real love when he finally accepts her, flaws and all.
I'm not quite sure about Om knowing Annika better, because unfortunately, we haven't really gotten very many AniKara scenes as of yet.
I do know, however, that at one point he doubted her, and unknowingly Ishaana made him trust her again - and she fulfilled this role to it's fullest potential, because after that, Omkara has never doubted Annika. These are the moments that I really miss Ishaana, but enough about that!
Saying this though, I really relate to Omkara as a person, so I know what you mean about people with our personality type [INFP (MBTI)] being insightful in terms of other people.
In fact, INFPs are supposed to be one of the most intuitive, and insightful personality types so I completely understand why you think Om knows Annika better than Shivaay. The only issue is with Om, in my opinion, is that he (like me) understands everyone else, but himself. Not going to go into this, but maybe I might write an understanding Omkara post somewhere in the future.

And Daksh? Let's not even bother 😆

Also not liking this total full-on vampisation of Tia though I suppose that is the only way for a woman to gain some agency in the telly world...

Trust me, I was looking forward to the jealousy track too.
Like you, I really really wish it didn't happen now.
Why couldn't we have a normal jealousy track? Did we really need some evil mastermind/psychopath to really join the mix in the already overcrowded Ishqbaaaz world?
Daksh actually gives me the creeps. Also, I don't understand why they were playing such sweet music during the proposal scene. Does that mean that the CVs don't realise how creepy Daksh is as a character, and rather, are trying to play it off like a cute little crush?
I'm so incredibly confused 😭

And OMG I could have a freaking rant about Tia being a vamp.
WHY?
If you think about it logically, then it just goes to show that the CVs aren't confident with Annika and her personality if they are going out of their way to contrast her with an evil, vampish fiancee. IDK - I miss kind, sweet, albeit a bit naive, Tia.

I feel like if Shivaay consciously picked a middle-class, crass, uneducated orphan over a rich, educated, high-class socialite, it would beautifully portray the extent of his love for Annika.

But no, our CVs would rather hand us a psychopath and a vamp instead😆

Shivaay needed a worthy opponent to force him to face his feelings, to accept them and then to act on them.

The thing is, for me, Daksh isn't even a worthwhile villain as of yet.
He's just creepy.
I swear to god, that scene where he's admiring her while she's yelling at Shivaay, I got goosebumps from his freaking smile.
He's so strange! Honestly, I really like the actor, but the character is just not cutting it for me, at all 😆
