Nikki, I got into the show for the Brothers and I was most hooked by Omkara. I disliked Ishana because such a badly written character was Omkara's girl. So yes I strongly disliked Ishana because she was Omkara's girl.

And yes Indian shows are always known for romance but then where will Omkara stand as a character if he hasn't go TV a story of his own other than his love story. You have to realize that Omkara fans are more of the fortunate ones who has got the chance to watch something other than romance for their favorite character . Surely Shivaay or Rudra will never have their own individual story. Shivaay's entry scene itself had Anika and the only story he is ever going to get will be his love story with Anika. Om has a story even without a girl.

And this is Omkara's test. He was too white, too attached to the truth. His vision was black and white. This is the turning point for the character. He is forced in to being a hypocrite. He will finally learn the importance of lies in life too. He used to say truth over family but now he is forced to be in a situation where he has to choose between truth and family and he cannot help but choose truth

And thank you Preet for also bringing this up as well. It had slipped my mind. Also i again didnt want ti bring Ishana up again.

Even if Om lies for Prinku , even that goes against his characterization. Remember Rakshbandhan episode or the Ishana fiasco. Or when he had blasted at Riddhima in that cafe.

In fact in my opinion this will be worse because then it would mean he has different rules for his family and different for others. This is how Shivay functions and i appreciate him for his practicality but this isnt Om.

This could only work if they show that it was this incident which made Om such a stickler for truth.
