Jokes aside babes, I really do think we need to hold judgement until we have a clearer picture of what things are.
So basically there are 2 ways this can play out.
1. Om is innocent.
2. Om is guilty.
I don't understand why either of this would be detrimental to Om's growth as a character. Both possibility opens up new opportunities for Om.
If he is innocent, then it elevates his character more in terms of him being on par with Shivaay as the protector, as the shield for his siblings. Shivaay has always taken this role, for all his siblings including Om. Isn't t time for Om to step up and proves that he too can make sacrifices for the family? Wouldn't hat take him out of the sidekick status people put him in and show that he is at least as important as Shiv?
If he is guilty, then my God..what a fresh revelation that would be. Why do you think of it as a character assassination when you can look at it as an improvement? Om is a liar? Is he? Or did he just conceal the truth? Om can't lie. This has been established throughout the show. Om however has hidden the truth plenty of times before, especially from Rudra. He has no problem with that because his definition of lying does not include hiding the truth from his loved ones. He stuck to the truth even when he knew that Shivaay would be in trouble for it. But if he indeed lied, what does it mean for him? It means that Om is human. That he may not like it but he realises that sometimes he has to lie to protect those he loved. To protect. He was mad at his Dad for lying because that was to hurt, not to protect. What if this revelation, accident or whatever, is the one that made him hate lying in the first place? That his aversion to lying came about because he had to struggle with this secret and he is overcompensating for that one mistake he made. Wouldn't that be interesting?
Sorry for the essay.
This Devrani is feeling sorry for Jethji❤️
