Whoa. What an episode that was. I'm really sorry I couldn't participate in discussions yesterday...was still in a haze, entertaining guests during the festive season, and gorging on delicacies 😆 Still want to say my bit though...please do bear with me😃 Warning. It's a long one. (Isn't it always😆)

Yesterday was an epoch as far as the ship was concerned. I think we all agree on that😆Everything was out in the open. Harsh things were said. Hearts were broken. Prejudices were openly acknowledged. The outburst delineated all of our hero's convictions (and shortcomings) in the open. Battle lines were drawn.😳

1. First of all...what an enthralling episode. The confrontation was dhamakedaar...so much so that I was glued to the edge of my seat. I didn't come to see spoilers purposely...restrained myself with great effort. 😆

2. The first scene of the episode...the talk between Shivika was more impactful to me. Starting from the way in which he senses her presence to their conversation...everything was perfect. I particularly liked how Anika got extremely affected by his speech about Dev. It almost seemed like every word of his pierced her heart. It was almost as if he was talking about him and her. ❤️ Her hesitation in asking whether such people should not be allowed to dream or love was heartrending. And so was the way Shivaay wouldn't budge from his stance💔

3. I liked how Anika tried to intervene on Priyanka's behalf...she is indeed a good friend and history has shown that she does get through to SSO. But I do support Shivaay when he called a close to the fag end of the conversation...it was a family matter and Anika did get a little intrusive towards the end. This scene was powerful because it marked the beginning of her disillusionment. More on that later 😉

4. Priyanka 🤢 How dumb can she get. She was casting herself into the role of a modern day Juliet i guess😆 She almost got her Romeo killed at the hands of her brother😆 SSO is right...she is a child. No understanding of the fact that actions have consequences. But I partly blame him and the other family members for this too. Clearly Priyanka has been too sheltered and mollycoddled by the Oberois.

Goes to show how lack of proper guidance can make a person lack self-esteem. And Dev is a dunderhead too...even after being acquainted with SSO's big bear mode in their very first meeting...he dared to come for a rendezvous. What a doofus 😆

5. Now...the infamous confrontation scene. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. The intensity. The tashan. The unravelling of Shivaay...the rage enveloping him as he saw his Paanika defying his orders and playing Cupid for his wayward sister. The scene was all that I expected and more.⭐️👏

As I said earlier...this scene marked the new beginning in their relationship. Now that everything is laid out bare...things can begin anew. There's a saying that with destruction begins the process of regeneration. And I thought that it was essential for Shivaay's true self to be bared in front of Anika. It was essential for her to realize exactly where she stood in his life...for the differences separating them to be acknowledged.

6. The scene began in a very dhamakedaar way...SSO going guns blazing...throwing his phone right at her feet with a vengeance. I just can't condone this action. I think such forms of physical intimidation can be very frightening...and you could see that Anika was shit-scared by it. Not done, SSO. 😡 The accosting of Anika to the wall, the punching of the pillar...falls in the same category. But this is classic Gul...I guess I'm too accustomed to it now😆 Goes to show how as viewers we internalise certain things from these scenes

7. For once I am glad that SSO gave her a chance...even if it was perfunctory...to justify herself. He did ask her whether she was the one who called Dev. And he kept asking it again...I'm glad that this was shown because it shows the progression in Shivaay so far. If it had been anyone else...he'd just have gone at them with a pistol 😆 But it also had a caveat...he pretty much assumed that Priyanka could not have invited Dev over. Even though he did give Anika a chance...I'm pretty sure that he'd already decided her guilt as judge, jury and executioner And I guess he did have his reasons for that...Anika leading Dev out furtively contributed to his misunderstanding.

8. No way Shivaay should've gone on that rampage though. His temper has no bounds...and he ended up saying all that he'd repressed in his heart about Anika so far. The lack of lineage. Class. Her inferior stature. How blood might be red for all...but is the marker of social differences. How the Oberois were doing her a favour by letting her hang around them🤢 I really felt for Anika in this scene...to have all of her vulnerabilities...her misgivings about herself and lack of family...questioned and mocked at, would have been harrowing for her, to say the least. It was as if he'd undermined everything that she stood for...everything that she'd painstakingly achieved...and crushed it underneath his feet.🥱

9.Now coming to the most important part of the post. Shivaay's dialogue about the line. 👏👏 Kudos to whoever wrote the scene...that single dialogue captured the mood of the scene and the entire conflict underlying their relationship. As Shivaay said...there's a line between the two of them...invisible...but powerful. The line that demarcates their lifestyles, families, upbringings, social positions. It is something that can't be crossed. This single dialogue was enough to bring Anika to her senses. Shivaay pointing out that calling her family was just a honorific was also bang on. I'd been feeling that this needed to be said to Anika...somewhere..her illusions needed to be broken. How painful for her though

10. I'm glad Anika didn't cry in front of SSO though. In the beginning she tried to reason with him. But then comes her awesome dialogue..Look beneath you...you might find your low-level thinking on the floor.⭐️ I'm glad that she didn't break (at least in front of him)... but stood up for herself and quit the job of her own accord. Her dialogue about his asli roop was bang on too...she was seeing him in a new light..and it had shocked her to the core.

I'm not going to side with Team Shivaay or Team Anika. All I can say is...this episode marked a new beginning for them and for us viewers. Shivaay asking for an explanation and his hurt at the presumed betrayal gives us cause for hope...but at the same time...I can only wish that Anika stays away from SSO for a while. He needs to fall off his high horse and come back to ground realities. Still...Kudos to my sherni for holding herself so well and not letting this man undermine all that she had done, all that she stood for!

A parallel between the two scenes where Anika left her phone behind after major tashans ⭐️She leaves a part of herself in the house and his heart...and somehow that causes a reconciliation between them❤️

Concluding,

An advice to Anika...Cast off your best friend😆 she is a ninny 😡

An advice to Soumya...Your prince charming is at your side..don't let concealment deter your love.

An advice to Shivaay. Give me your I Phone. 😆

An advice to whoever is reading this. Don't open my long winding posts again 😆😆 And kudos if you survived this one🤗

BANG ON - COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT BETTER.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SCENE FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS TAPPING MY FOOT IN IMPATIENCE.
BOTH OF THEM (SHIVVAY AND ANNIKA) NEEDED TO COME OUT OF THE FAIRLYTALE THAT THEY WERE LIVING IN AND TAKE THIS RELATIONSHIP TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
OH! I ENJOYED THE POOL PARTY AND THE OTHER NONSENSICAL HORROR SHOW THAT THEY PUT OUT FOR US TO BE SATISFIED WITH BUT THEY WERE DRAGGING THEIR HEELS TOO MUCH
I HAVE STOPPED LOOKING FOR SPOILERS ANYMORE SINCE YESTERDAY AS I WILL NOW ENJOY THE 'REAL THING' WITH SHIVVIKA TILL OF COURSE RUMYA TAKES THE SAME ANGLE BY TAKING OFF WHERE THESE 2 LEAVE OFF

** on a funny note - BTW SSO your brother OM did not lose his way trying to find Annika's house. I remember SSO using that as an excuse to drop her home not too long ago. Om knows where his 'best friend' lives 😉
