In fact, I completely refuse to watch anything remotely related to GK or 4Lions ever again. They start off with great concepts to lure viewers, but can never maintain story lines or sub-plots. It's frustrating, to say the least.
I agree with you. Too much of anything can be repetitive and mundane. Frankly, Annika irritates me. I started off liking her. In fact, she really grew on me. I loved the humour, that she used as a defence mechanism to hide the world of hurt and anguish. I loved that she was often clueless, but oddly insightful. However, the intense focus on her as this saviour and messiah for the Oberoi family is extremely contrived.
I'm all for woman empowerment, and I agree that Annika is a lead character, but so is Saumya. There are other wonderful female characters on the show, who deserve more narrative space.
I wish that for once, Priyanka or Saumya took the lead or saved the day. Why should these characters be reduced to sidekicks?
Just to glorify her, CVs have allocated the role of the Oberoi's personal saviour - or as I like to think of it - guard dog, to Annika. Why can't she have a story of her own? Why must everything be so intrinsically linked to the Oberois and vice versa? It's hardly plausible.
I refuse to believe that the Oberois - who apparently have the status of the Mittals or Ambanis, do not have the top-most legal team on retainer, who would be raking through the evidence or the footage of that video to solve the case.
Gul Khan and team - stop fooling audiences. At least attempt to be realistic. Stop devoting all your time and attention to your upcoming show, and work to make the current one more credible before your TRP falls further and viewers become even more disillusioned.
