I read a lot of posts after Pinky's heartfelt confession that the show has turned the Oberois into a Hum Saath Saath Hain sort of family.

But I knew that the truce would be temporary. Old sins cast long shadows...and the past of the family caught up with them too. Dadi doubts her own sons, and so does Om who is always (rightfully) skeptical about his dad.

Shivaay, on the contrary, focuses on being the protector of his family as always. His assurance to a scared Rudra and an uncertain Om, and fulfilling his role as the 'Great Wall' of the Oberoi family again showed that for him...family always comes first, perhaps even superseding ethics and morals. Though of course he can't be so ruthless as Tej...his shock on seeing the video says it all.

Om holds the truth to be the most supreme and voices uncomfortable truths that no one is willing to speak about. He and Dadi know the other Oberois best in this family...the rest, including Jhanvi and Pinky are still in denial.

The ShivIka touches were brilliant This was the same Shivaay who once sent Anika to jail for a crime she did not even commit. But now..when the cop unnecessarily questions her, he springs to her defence, saying that she has nothing to do with the entire fiasco. And then...boom. SHE IS FAMILY, he says❤️The contrast between the two scenes only shows their journey so far. He was totally in protective mode...standing as a wall in front of her too.

The guy is such a goner. No wonder the rest of the family was perplexed with his statement.

The brief look of admiration when she hands over the tea to Dadi and the unspoken communication between them during the phone scene was also lovely. The way he calmed down after seeing her and the way she understood that he doesn't want to be disturbed was just too beautiful for words☺️

In any case...this is the calm before the storm. Things will begin unravelling and soon shit will hit the fan for the Oberois. As the ever-wise Om said...something big is around the corner. Things are not hunky- dory for Anika either...Bua seems to be driving a wedge between Anika and Sahil and her plan seems to be working.🥱

Thanks to the writers for bringing back the intensity and the main plot into focus...much needed!⭐️

Awesome post!

I'm excited that we are finally getting back to the story.

There is a difference between protecting family and condoning/covering up their mistakes. Right now, it seems like Shivaay wants to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe in their innocence. He is not blind to his family's behavior but he probably thinks there is line that even they wouldn't cross ie the video. Whereas, Om has little faith in his father so naturally he assumes the worst. He believes only in the truth and naturally he will want them to be held accountable for their actions. Dadi is just scared that might be capable of doing harm to others.

We know the video is fake, but there is something even bigger lurking in the background so we'll see then how their perceptions change after more details are revealed. It will be interesting to see the shift in dynamics of their relationships.

Looks like Shivika will be facing similar situation (fighting to protect their family) which might push their "understanding" to something more in the future. As for, Om this might be where Ishana comes into play. He needs someone to help understand the world isn't black and white. The hatred might turn into understanding for them. Rudra might actually realize he had friend all along.

Definitely the calm before the storm. Ganpathi has just entered the Oberoi mansion and will clear the hurdles for many of them ( in their minds). Shivika perfect example...when he declared her as family. Anika was too shocked and speechless and a bit in awe I feel, when she heard herself being referred to as family. Family is something she believes in and has tried to make one with Sahil. She yearns for her own.. or to be accepted into one... small scene... but a huge shift in Shivika... The rest of the O's were perplexed no doubt.

Shivaay is the wall and his exchange with Om was intense as were their recent exchanges. Om is the only one who can stand up to him and get away with speaking his mind ... like Anika.😆

The all too brief scenes of Shivika was bang on and no... mooning or sighing... the way she left him and gave a hug to dadi was sweet. When he told her authoritatively to answer the phone... like a husband telling his wife... to ... do a task. I don't think he has had a thought of the flighty Tia for a sec. 😆😆 OmRu ofc noticed... all that Shivaay said or did not say... to Anika..😆

Want to see more of the bros... each... holding their own and being there for the family. wonder how Om will meet Ishana... He has...so much...potential.

I was so excited because I felt like the main plot is finally beginning. Now if we get a proper antagonist too...it'd be like a cherry on top.

Waise I'm glad that Om talked about Ishana...she definitely seems to have affected him. I'm sure the writers are going to bring her back with a dhamakedaar track soon.

I am gushing because I just LOVED yesterday's episode. It was perfect ❤️

Wonderful post Amri and agree with u..
Something big is about to happen i can sense it..the video may be fake but surely there are some dirty secrets of the Oberois which will soon come out in front of the world..Oberois arent innocent..and there is no smoke without fire so they are definitely hiding something big( and i think that Shakti is the main villain in all this.. I dunno but his overly calm attitude gives me mysterious vibes 😆 )

Shivika little scenes were awesome❤️ i am just loving the progress in tgeir ❤️ story

ShivKara scene was intense and meaningful..both are right in tgeir own ways and i just love LOVE this contrast ❤️ cherry on top is Naks n Kun's acting ⭐️ plz giv me more ShivKara clashes 😆
Also loved the AnHil-Bua scene ..Bua is trying to create MUs between AnHil ..hope Anika pays more attention to Sahil now or Bua will totally bring him under her control

Loving the fact that we finally get a break from silly comedy and childish games and serious drama unfolds..i love mysteries so i will enjoy thoroughly if they keep this suspense and tension intact 👍🏼 😃

Shakti and Jhanvi are the dark horses. Shakti in particular is very fishy. When pinky was saying that Shakti is very religious...I was like...something is off about him.

Finally we get a break from the comedy...well said👏 Shivika and ShivKara were the highlights. And i guess Sahil is angry with Anika which bua will use to her benefit

I had always maintained that these happy moments did not mean story losing plot, it was a build up for future plot so that wen they all break apart, they can remember the good times

No family is forever fighting or forever happy...its always a mix of, happy, sad, angry, emotional , celebratory moments...And IB is different from other shows without excess of any such moments...its much close to reality, minus the past secrets ofcourse😆

For Shivay, or for any person...its natural to side by family seeing an external threat...so I do not find him wrong here coz anyone would have this tendency to protect their own family first and would not go on doubting on them coz of an outsider accusing them...but I do believe that he should ponder on the past incidents and question his elders calmly

I loved wen Shivay told Om, that its not about ur family or my family, its about Our family...Shivay would always think about the whole family first and would try to keep them bound together!

Om, on the other hand is much obsessed with Truth...he has some perceived notions on his father coz of his past deeds...but like Jhanvi said, Tej can be ruthless, a cheater, but never a criminal or a murderer...I feel he should give his dad a benefit of doubt coz nothing is more hurtful than ur own son accusing u of a crime or not siding by u wen some one else is accusing u...he is just assuming things here...ofcourse once the CD turns out to be fake, he might realize his mistake and I would love to see him standing by his own family

I never thought Sahil would be influenced by bua so easily...but I do understand that he is a kid and needed Anika then...I hope they both are able to resolve the misunderstanding and Sahil to tell her about bua feeding him stale stuff and throw bua out once and for all

Shivika <3...He finally said...She is family ❤️...the guy who once said she is not family has come so far, he did not hesitate to accept infront of the whole family, that she is a part of them...makes me feel he would always stand by her in future as well <3 I love their silent communications...loving the beautiful pace their story is progressing, with attention to minutest of details...Shivika are love <3

I am looking forward to the whole youngsters gang talk over this issue and try resolve it...and yes, I am loving it that Anika and Soumya would be a part of it...the show is about brothers but also about their individual Ishqbaazis, partners need to be there at every step. <3

Jhanvi is no less...did u notice, how Pinky consoled Jethani Ji, even though her own husband was in trouble too...but Jhanvi was only concerned about Tej

While Shakti would come out to be more evil of the 2 brothers...Jhanvi would turn out to be the selfish one, I feel

The story of IB actually started from yesterday. All for the past almost 3 months we didn't see any real progression unless that we knew there was a dark secret of the oberois. Hopefully this truce of the hum saath saath hain family will be broken in the near future.

Maybe the CD is fake but it will definitely bring back focus to the deep secret of the Oberois which the young generation and dadi are not aware of.

Both Shivaay and Om were in their character. I don't think the secret will come out altogether. It will come in stages breaking the family.

The ShivIka bits were awesome! 😳. Shivaay has changed so much. From baharwali to she is family. ❤️

I am liking the problems in Annika's life too.
