Shivay is a ruthless businessman but he is receptive to feedback and reflects on words of others he cares.
Anika is simple straight forward and genuine in her interactions. She does not manipulate for reaching her agenda like Ishana...I find her as irritating as Tia's SHIVAY BABY AND HER REIHKI

Its flaws do make it different. Agree her character is messy, but that confrontation scene second part gave me some hopes.

Nice post. I remember you from QH days. Haven't been regular watcher, so can't really say how flawed both these are.
But Shivaay's family doesn't seem dysfunctional to me. They look a happy family, with elders bonding, and youngsters bonding quite well. Maybe they need to show a few FB scenes of Oberoi kids to show what they went thru. Rolling in money, a joint family, a loving dadi, parents too seem nice to all the kids, what exactly went wrong? Why and how kids got distanced from their parents? Fights happen in all households - rich or poor.

Loved this part of your post. So true. Maybe this is the reason, I couldn't relate to any character. Hope Gul reads it.

The theme is dark, but the writing is not tight. When good strong writing is delivered with good performance and right bonding of the characters, it is then somebody gets so damn attached to you and I bet you will perceive the character as an almost real person. That's when a fiction goes seemingly real. I hope Gul does it to this Show or else sorry no Emotional Investment is going in, or atleast by me.

Remember you too. How are you doing? Well, Ishaana's character appeals only from the Confrontation scene. Do watch it.

True, every family has its ups and downs. The Tej-Jhanvi-Swetlana angle is the spark to the break of the family and another mystery why Shivaay doesn't speak to his Dad properly. Yeah, FBs are much needed.

Thank you.😛

Yes!!! I love this post because you are 100% right, you nailed it! I've always seen certain similarities between Shivaay and Ishana because they're both such realists, and they don't see the world in black and white, they see it in shades of grey. I feel as though both of them think with their heads and not their hearts, which is the major character flaw here, but I think that because both Om and Anika tend to think with their hearts, which is also a character flaw, they will be the ones to teach Shivaay and Ishana to rely on their hearts as well as their heads, and vice versa. Also, and don't get me wrong, but Shivaay and Ishana tend to put their family before everyone and everything, which I can understand, but it's not always the best thing to do... Am I making sense? Whereas you have Om who clearly stated that he will put what's right before his family, and I think that's going to be his major downfall and cause a strain in his relationship with his family.

Thanks! They're primitive and real. I like that. At times, it is wrong to put family before anything before you analyze the situation and yes that Om's flaw is major. He will maybe suffer due to it.

I do love Ishana characterization .. but CVs need to work on her story... shes strong and Vrush is a gd actress she will do justice.. but without a gd storyline everything will look pale..

Ishaana does need some work. I hope after the Mallika-Sid track the show is back with a bang.
