Well I think she just said it because Om went to her parvarish and family. Anyone would've said something mean to him if he'd go to the parents really. Though it might be true, actually true, but she love her family and well couldn't take it! Though comparing Om with Tej is not justified because till now O hasn't given any kind of indication that he can turn into his father in the future!
