I think Shivaay just grew up too soon. Shakti doesn't seem to have been around much, from what I gathered the man hasn't taken up his responsibilities well and that might be a reason Shivaay doesn't respect him that much. Pinky does seem to love Shivaay a lot - messed up childhood, I guess.

Pls don't speculate abt surbhi kunal ...u know they are onscreen in a different role ... And if kunal and surbhi dating thing is true then their are people who will come up with idea of let's make ANIKA marry to omkara as they look nice together blah blah ...people try to mix real with reel...and producers ended up doing same under public demand by introducing some unique twist in the show.

I think none of the children is anyway interested in their parents the only exception is Omkara who loves his mother and shares a love-hate relation with his father
