Hey everyone! I am new to India forums and this is the first time I am writing something. I have been thinking about it for a while but never wrote anything. But the current identity track on IMMJ2 really frustrated me. So this is my take on this.
Her body went numb.
Blank mind.
She couldn't see anything else other than the entwined hands of her husband and the other woman, who he is introducing as his wife. She couldn't hear what others were saying. The only thing she could hear is "Meet my wife, Mrs. Ahana Vansh Rai Singhania". What's he saying? I am his wife. I am Mrs. Vansh Rai Singhania. I am Mrs. Riddhima Rai Singhania. Why is he doing this? How could he do this to her?
She stood still as all their moments were playing in her head. She kept crying as he refused to listen to her, to recognize her. He doesn't know me? Me? The person who he claimed to love the most in this world after his mother. The person he promised to never leave alone no matter what. The person he vowed to protect no matter who and what is against. Were those lies? Did he mean those at all? Did he actually ever love me? Did he even feel anything for me? Was I just a toy for him to play with for his amusement?
All these questions were roaming in her head when she heard the whispers from the reporters. "Gold digger", "Homewrecker", "Disgusting" and whatnot.
"Why is she doing this?"
"She is behind his money."
"How cheap!" "Such girls are so disgusting"
Disgusting? I am disgusting? I am the victim here and these people are calling me disgusting. She looked at Vansh with hope to stop this only to see him looking at her with satisfaction. "Vansh", she whispered not wanting to believe it.
"Listen Ms., I don't know why are you trying to prove me as your husband but the truth is I am married to her, Ahana, the love of my life," said Vansh holding Ahana closely, wrapping his arm around her waist.
Something snapped within her. All the illusions came down crashing and her body started shaking with rage. She became angry and disappointed at herself for falling in love with him. For keeping him and his family above herself, above her self-respect. For withstanding all the abuses and they hurled towards her. For not teaching them lessons for their wrongdoings. She hated the way she let herself become a doormat for everyone. She looked at every Rai Singhanias to find them looking at her with disgust.
'That's it!' she decided. I am not going to tolerate this anymore. Enough is enough. If that's how they want to play, then fine. I am not going to beg for his love anymore. How can I forget the identity I had before I married him? How can I forget the lessons I learned since childhood? I don't need to beg for anyone's love. I am enough for myself.
Vansh could see her expressions. He started thinking if he is taking it too far. But then he shrugged it off thinking she deserves this. He saw her about to speak something but something interrupted her. The nurse he hired for Sia came shouting that Sia is awake. Everyone ran to her room including Riddhima.

Vansh sat by Sia as the doctor finished checking her up.
"Don't worry Mr VR. Sia is completely fine. She just needs a little bit of rest. Riddhima's treatment helped her a lot. Congratulations!" said the doctor. No one noticed that the media followed them and are recording everything.
"Riddhima bhabhi!" exclaimed Sia after finding her at the doorstep. "Don't worry Sia, she won't be able to harm you anymore. I punished her for what she did to you," said Vansh looking at Riddhima with hatred. Riddhima kept silent waiting for the drama to unfold.
"Punishment?" asked Sia confused. Vansh then told her everything from Vihan drama to snatching her identity. Sia looked at him in horror. She didn't know what to say or do. She looked at her bhabhi only to find her face blank, devoid of any emotions. "How could you do this bhai?" she whispered with teary eyes. "To her."
"Why not? She hurt you, Sia. She deserves more than this."
"NO SHE DOESN'T" shouted Sia. Everyone was taken aback by her. She started sobbing and told him everything that happened. How it was Anupriya who hurt her and how she and Kabir were involved. She told them everything.
Vansh didn't know what to feel. He started feeling guilty, angry, upset for everything he did. He looked at Riddhima who looked away from his face.
"Riddhima..." he started saying but Riddhima cut him off and said, "now that everything is out and my patient is fine, I would like to leave from here." She started going down and Vansh started to follow her along with everyone else. Reaching the hall, he held her hand and started apologizing. "I am so sorry Riddhima. Please forgive me." Riddhima noticed the reporters and thought this should be fun.
"Sorry for what? You don't even know me"
"I am really sorry Riddhima. I didn't know all these and thought you were behind her attack and that's why."
"We don't know each other."
"Don't say that Riddhima. You are my wife."
"But you just announced Ahana as your wife in front of the whole world."
"That was to hurt you but we both know it isn't the truth."
"So now you remember that I am your wife?" chuckled Riddhima in a cold voice that gave him shivers. The eyes which always held love, trust, admiration for him were not holding anger, disgust for him. He couldn't look at her eyes anymore.
"You know what Vansh. I haven't seen a more stupid person than you. You claim yourself to be the master manipulator which you are actually, you claim to know everything that happens around yet you didn't' know about Anupriya. You think you are the smartest of all who can do anything for the family yet you failed to protect them. You think you have such huge intelligence but the truth is that you have an ego the size of a mountain but brain the size of your di*k."
Everyone was shocked to hear her speaking this way and Vansh's face was worth watching. He looked like he got electrocuted. She felt like laughing at his face but continued, "You call me the betrayer? You are the biggest betrayer. It wasn't my fault that you forced me to marry you. It wasn't my fault that you made me believe that you can kill anyone who betrays you. It wasn't my fault that everyone in the house made it look like you killed Ragini." She shouted at him.
"But it was my fault to tolerate everyone's behavior. It was my fault that even after Ishani and Anupriya locked me into a room full of coal, Aryan trying to sexually harass me, Chachi and Aryan trying to kill me, everyone trying to harm and kill me, I tried to protect them. For what? So that they can continue to harm me?" She scoffed.
"Kabir and Anypriya electrocuted me and threatened to kill Ishani and her child if I don't marry him. And I agreed. I shouldn't have. I shouldn't have cared for her life when she was trying to kill me. I should have let Kabir kill her. I shouldn't have tried to protect Dadi after all she claims to not even know me."
She was saying all these without any emotions but hate. Hate towards everyone who was now bowing their heads down in shame.
"Beta, mujhe maaf karde. We all committed mistakes. I feel ashamed of everything that has happened. Please forgive us." Dadi cried.
"Forgive you?" She scoffed. "Why should I? Mere ek galti ke liye Vansh and ap log itna planning plotting kiya and I should just forgive you? NO. You know what Vansh? My biggest mistake was to love you and everyone in this family even after going through so much humiliation and I got my punishment for this. I tolerated everything but not anymore. I am not some damsel in distress who can't take care of herself. I am not going to stay here and tolerate any of this bullshit anymore." She pulled her Mangalsutra hard making every bead scatter on the floor.
"Please don't do this to us Riddhima. I love you, I really do. I will make everything fine. Please give me one more chance." begged Vansh falling on his knees.
"US? There is no us Vansh, it was never there. It was always you and your betrayal and war puran. I was never there, not in the relationship, nor in the family. How easy it was for you to give my place to another woman Vansh? How easy it was for you to hurt me so much? I wish I could hurt your family as you hurt me. You never loved me Vansh. If you did, you would have respected me, trusted me, understood me but you never did. And I don't need such cursed love."
"Please Riddhima. I can't leave without you." He cried.
"But I can live without you Vansh. I can and that's why I will. I should have realized my worth a long time ago. I don't deserve this love. You don't deserve me, none of your family does and they never will. Good luck with your new life with Ahana, away from the cursed orphan who destroyed your life."
With that, she walked away from the toxic life with her head held up high with hope and determination to start a new life, full of peace and away from toxic people like VR.
I didn't realize this would be so long but I wanted to portray the emotions as well as I can. I hope you all liked it. Please let me know how was it.
