Outside the courtroom, Raja wallows in unexpected defeat and has a go at his lawyer for missing the opportunity of nailing down Dhani today. Yet soon realizes that it was Viplav with his arguments who protected Dhani today. Raja's lawyer now hangs on to another chance like Viplav did today, vouches he will cook up some plan whereby Dhani herself will admit to her crime tomorrow. However Raja having come to so close victory yet being kicked in the teeth storms off.
Blessed is the woman for whom Viplav comes as a god send son! Viplav knows part of his love and marriage vows to his Dhani were that he would look out for her family as well.So no surprise that he should come straight to the ashram for solace after meeting a mute Dhani in the station. Dulari panic stricken clings to him ,insists he take her to see Dhani. Dulari too is baffled at her daughters silence in court . But Viplav seems desperate and explains , for some reason ,which he knows not, Dhani refused to open up before him too. Viplav is dismayed but senses Dhani s behaviour itself speaks a silent language. But he too after being granted another day by court is not going to spend it taking it easy. Dulari too is desperate to see her daughter being saved and blurts out she knows and she'll give him the evidence he needs to consolidate his case. Viplav hears that Dulari that day paid Dhani a visit ,but as soon as entered the gates a distraught Dhani ran to her and begged her mother to run. They ran to the police station filed a report against the Awasthi for domestic violence on Dhani. Soon after the inspector received a phone call from the Awasthi s reporting their older son had been murdered by Suman after which she absconded. Dulari wept and relays a hard fact ,being weak no one paid heed to their pleas. Viplav hears her compassionately as Dulari clings to him as he god had gifted her this son..Viplav, covertly rejected by his own mother the haughty Kanak , is blessed by the deities to be as son and serve the widow who clings to him like dear life.. so blessed is Viplav that his brief visit to the ashram, grants peace and solace to the women of the ashram #What a night.Two hearts for whom the colour of love is white.. the colour of their love is god himself, who treats all alike ..showers his mercies to both rich and poor..the very white colour of love unites them even through the gaps of distance.. distances created by circumstances, distances that creep up from the past and thwarts them in their present and their future.. but the colour of their love will fight circumstance and fate both.. the colour of their love is white and the distance created between them by misunderstandings , misapprehended blood ties and lies of infiltrators in their way of life.. suffices not! for when it comes to the colour of their love it prevails! White! pure! godlike..Dhani sits on the cold floor of her cell and regurgitates her marriage vows when she was ahead and Viplav behind her.. her heart from the cells cries out to Viplav..how can I forget I swore.. I will always protect my family ,my children.. Viplav slogs over his paper work he tires but then with an empowering heart, he recalls his marriage vow, from today I vow to share all our joys and sorrow together Dhani.. a tear rolls down out of her eye..how she vowed , I swear that we will be like friends, companions and from today as husband and wife stand by each other.. and Viplav recalls, with love and trust we will stand by each other.. both have visions of their marriage ceremony . Dhani feels crestfallen due to the pressures but her mind is made up let this night pass, for tomorrow she will have to fulfil the promise she made to herself. Viplav too works on the case till late and his heart sends Dhani a message ,just this night Dhani ,for tomorrow the official verdict will be given .. but Dhani's heart replies from a distance , I will never come between Viplav's and his family's happiness !never! Viplav replies from his room, the verdict of your life and mine ,it will all be done tomorrow.. the colour of their love is white ,but their hearts and minds are not in agreement on how the final wave of Viplav's arguments are presented tomorrow will they be backed by Dhani? Viplav bases his arguments in the belief that Dhani is not guilty of murder and thus both as her lawyer and husband wishes to save her. But Dhani wants to sacrifice her love for Viplav's happiness and will continue to maintain her silence and bear the onslaughts of frontal assaults from the prosecution lawyer.. All in the name of Viplav and his family's happiness. To her this is the option she will abide by and naught will change her stance not even Viplav.. Unless the gods themselves intervene and save their true devotee Dhani from being a sacrificial lamb..
The hearing begins, with the prosecution cut up by the fact that the case was nearly over yesterday but before it drags on he'll begin by calling his witnesses to give evidence against Dhani. Sulochana is called first she is asked to throw light on Suman's relationship with Raja.. The idea is perhaps to prove that Suman fancied her brother in law. Sulanchna gave answers that implicate that suman gave a lot of attention to Raja more than her husband! a blatant lie of course .. Such innocence no one would suspect she could kill her son. She is characterless.. Mami was called next . Presumably she must have attacked Dhani's virtue too. That was prosecution's agenda character assignation . Raja called and he feigns he consider her his sister in law and thus cannot repeat disrespectful things about her but he saw his brother in a pool of blood and his bhabi held a piece of glass in her hand as she sat by his brother body..raja continues to bring back the focus on Dhani committing murder, while the woman attack Dhani's virtue! Then the prosecution lawyer thus impresses upon the court all evidence points to the fact this woman is a murderer. Once her intentions were found out by her in laws she planned to run away with cash and jewellery. But her husband stopped her and she then killed her husband and absconded. She is a characterless plus a murderer. Viplav objects, the prosecution to make his case weighty is now attacking this woman's character. Dulari begs her daughter to defend herself by telling the truth. But dhani remains silent. The prosecution suggests may be the defence lawyer does not give much credence to the evidence given by the awasthi s, hence he call's upon the defence lawyers mother in the witness box. Kanak is called in the witness box she too bad mouths dhani accuses her of using her beauty to entice rich men, is a woman of ill repute, who stole her simple innocent so Viplav from her with her guile ways. Viplav snubs his mother by appealing to the judge the issue is whether Dhani committed murder or not? and since he has known from day one his mother loathes Dhani ,hence his mother's tirade should not be considered as evidence. Viplav's objection is sustained, and kanak is sent back to her place. The lawyer sums up this woman has trapped rich men, first she trapped Munna awasthi and now she has trapped him !he tells viplav. Viplav slaps his desk! jumps up on his feet and warns the prosecution enough!another word out of your mouth against dhani !and he'll forget he's in court! But the other lawyer retorts , he is totally blinded by this woman's love! that he cannot see reality! But his mother is not blind folded she sees everything clearly, that this woman first traps rich men ,exploits them then kills them! Viplav loses the plot and runs across the courtroom! grabs the prosecution by the throat and a bellowing viplav makes a revelation ,that woman is my wife!all who hear viplav's voice are in shock!.. Viplav is pulled back and then he calmly admits before the judge . Yes dhani is his wife ,he is married. He convinced dhani into marrying him. As her husband he will tell the truth about her, as for her character after marriage too she is still living like this , a life of an ordinary woman . his family name an status does not affect her in the least. Kanak gets up from her place and comes to the witness box and assaults Dhani and screams like a demented woman and orders the judge she is a killer punish her! the judge stops..and adjourns.. for a short recess..
Raja is miffed as mami taunts him Suman has become his bhabi yet again. he is adamant , there are many ifs and buts to this case.. she will get free if her husband can set her free.. his evil mother Sulochana ,appeals for his reason and slyly bids him one must never underestimate one's foe. Hence in case Dhani is let off . Raja should think of a backup plan. It appears that Sulochana is the source of wickedness in her family she is the matriarchal figure who used her sons to amass wealth and a life of comfort for her household.
Viplav meets his grandfather and mother . There is great displeasure from Dashrant for Viplav,s marriage.viplav too makes his dissppointment in his dadi ji known to him . he expected support at and understanding from him at least. Viplav tells them he feels he is greatly misunderstood too. But once the verdict on Dhani is given things will be clarified.Kanak rejects her only son. discards his act of marrying Dhani and yet again slaps Viplav and warns him if he saves Dhani from the gallows he will see his mother's dead face!..he holds tears in his eyes for a mother who never understood him.. never loved what he loves ,never looked out for his happiness..
Interesting episode yet again. Viplav gives a husband's testimony when it comes to protecting the character, chastity and virtue of his wife. Raja seems to query that.. will he get the answer he expects? Kanak hatred towards Dhani is so magnified ,that she fails to restrain herself and vows to give her son a sour defeat in the court room! She prompts the prosecution to pick on Viplav's personal life too! hamlet53 23.3.16
