A fish wife at the station! A bloodthirsty woman! and two woman at logger heads !Needy Dulari meets the haughty Kanak meet at the local police station. In desperation Dulari makes Kanak aware that Dhani's missing and Viplav had offered to seek her out and bring her back!.. by this, Dulari stupidly makes a rod for her own back. Kanak though takes the opportunity of elevating her position and putting down the worthless widows. Kanak yells her mouth off at the police officer, tells him he sitting there twiddling his thumbs ,find my son! she pointedly ignores that Dhani too is missing and uses her clout. In fact she says she suspects foul play otherwise why would her son's be found abandoned by the ravine and the river? this is news for Dulari and Inderani too. The police officer however refuses to give special treatment to Kanak and her tirade, he dismisses her , by saying the search for her son is on..already .But Kanak turns demented and yells at Dulari, a soft target to take out her frustrations upon her. Kanak abuses Dulari calls her a witch! with a shameless daughter due to whom her Viplav has gone missing! Then she physically assaults Dulari with a vicious back arms lock! Screams at dulari , tell me then where does your shameless daughter roam around?your daughter has lost one husband! now she is trapping my son! tell me where my son is! if anything happens to my son ,I will burn you and your shamelss daughter alive! Kanak threatens, pus she tries to implicate that Dhani is somehow involved in Viplav going missing!finally Kanak hurls Dulari against some chairs at the station! The poice officer commands, stop this racket and leave! Kanak and storms off in and frenzy. Indrani turns to Dulari and Dulari if she was hurt? a disturbed Dulari replies no ,she has worse smarts than this on. A highly embarrassed Shambu tenders a muffled apology for his wife's violent behaviour..the issue here is that Dulari gets physically assaulted by another woman right in the police station, and the law does not protect Dulari. Would it be called a family matter? and set aside by Dulari herself, as she wouldn't dream of slapping a charge on Kanak! What a shame , as the vulnerable often prefer to stay silent and thus end up as being victims in the system.. this behaviour from Kanak will make it very difficult for Dulari to support her daughters wish in the distant future of marrying vikil babu.. on the other hand by Kanak's showdown , Indrani and Dulari find out a bit more about the case ,in terms of venue..
The old lady feels ,viplavs hands clasped on his chest and fears that he has a high temp ,bids Dhani to eat ,whch Dhani refuses, the old woman reprimands her, she needed to eat , for if she falls ill ,then who will look after her husband! Dhani nods and the woman says , never mind eat when you want to, the food is in the kitchen.But before she leaves the room she notices dhani again didn't wear the mangalsutra.. then she chides her, remember it's to do with protecting your husband's life.. Dhani muses with sick anxiety... yes I didn't wear it due to the fear of the deities .They know, she is not his wife nor he her husband. The divine ones cannot be mocked ,they know every aorta of both vikil babu and her life. Dhani prays if only she can receive an omen that can give her the confidence ,that what she is about to do is worthy and right. She looks at his sleeping face,..and the mangalsutra beside him..what should I do? runs to close the door as if to conceal some terrible wrong she is about to undertake.. a sign dear god! she prays silently , as she bolts the door.. her back to vikil babu.. Dhani...did he call? she turns immediately, she runs back to him, sits beside him leans over his head and begs , vikal babu! say say something! and he calls her name again Dhani.. puts his hand on her hands, and passes out again, she pats his stubble cheeks, vikil babu ! speak I am listening! she tries to revive him he begins to sink ohhh god don't do this!, she listens to his chest.. looks at his hands clutched upon hers.. she grabs his hand and shake it say something vikal babu! but he is knocked out again! she leans closer to his mouth to feel his breathing.. his face twists in pain and she gives him courage, don't you worry vikil babu, soon you'll be well! I won't let anything happen to you ,you hear that! and he winces in pain.. and becomes still, in panic she calls to him vikil baburubbing his palms! she grabs his face gives it a shake and cries out say something ! feels his jugular if it pulsated ! speak to me ! tell me what you were going to say? she cries ,then realizes he had swooned again and sits and stares at his still face..feels his hands lying on his chest, dear god his temperature seems higher! She tries to wake him up again and wonders what to do in panic! she paces in confusion and her eye fall upon the mangalsutra mangal meaning well and sutura protection of a husband's life.. I asked for a sign from the deities , before I wore the sacred symbol around my neck.. vikal babu called my name, my spirits and my hopes were raised , I thought my battle was won, but not quite, I seem to be losing him! this game of hide and seek has to stop! it's taking my life! I want him found! restored! renewed and repaired! muses Dhani and she looks at lord Kirshna ..then at Vikal babu, unclasps the mangalsutra and wears around her neck and confesses to her lord Krishna , I am responsible for his condition, to save his life now is my faith.. give me strength god...suddenly it feels right to wear it..
Tripurari drinks booze. Suvarna brings his food like a dutiful wife and asks him point blank where dhani is ?and he replies how would I know! have you come to spy on me ? she asserts, if you know anything related to Viplav babaa and Dhani.. and Tripurari replies I swear by my mother! I didn't do anything to Dhani , only sent a few of my men to teach that Dhani a lesson.. apart from this don't know anything, Suvarna moans ,I am fed up of your way ward ways. But people are saying otherwise ,would be better if I had died instead of listening to people. He turns and says then why don't you! if you die than all my troubles will be over. she asks just tell me the truth and he says would I swear falsely upon my mother's name? Suvarva alerts him like she always used to back in the day! Inderani has gone to police to file a report.. so tell me before you are in big trouble . Drunk he asks why don't you trust me? nobody trusts me! even my mother! and he throws the metal glass on the floor.At least you trust me , he appeals to her as his wife.. Suvarna muses, it is by far the most of difficult task, as I'll have to watch your every move.. the scene is about how a husband and wife's relationship hinges on the virtue of trust. funnily enough, this scene almost just.. seemed like a normal husband and wife scene.. he even confesses no one trusts him ,was his booze speaking?
Dhani stands at the entrance of the mandir she muses she has to save vikal babu's life she is willing to do anything.. she climbs the steps on her knees to get to the altar, her soles too bleed.. Viplav lies still at home as Dhani stumbles before the altar of the goddess... climbing the steps on her knees, shows her devotion to her faith she too needed it to see for herself how powerful her devotion is..if she saves his life ,it may be a sign that he is the man for her..her soul mate..
The goons tell Tripurari they checked all the hospitals, banks of riversides, asked people can't find can't find both of them, they think they are dead, but Tripurari cannot leave anything to chance he is into seeing their dead bodies!
At home Viplav is checked by old lady his heart beat is erratic .. Dhani reaches the temple,. floor .. at home he seems to be sinking slowly, he gasps , has shortness of breath! the woman says, I'll have to call the doctor.. Dhani faces the altar struggles to stand up her knees bleed.. as Viplav struggles to breathe Dhani rings the bell and falls forward presses her forehead on the altar.. restore, rebuild and repair Viplav.. goes her prayers to the deities in the heavens.. a pujari gives her a tilak and then a diva which she shields with her hand.. carries this little light of protection for Viplav.. Dhani shields the lamp and comes down the steps of the temple, stumbles! but shields the light from snuffing this little light is the light of life for Viplav babu
Tripurari goons ask quiz the public about Viplav and Dhani , suddenly they see the old woman and say lets ask her! but they are interrupted by trips phone call about any news ?they reply, they are asking questions around a small village near the riverside. They turn around but the old lady she had gone ! the divine hand protects!
Dashrant tells Kanak off for creating a scene at the police station is she not aware of his good name and respectability in Benaras? he holds his chest in distress, now is this deception or for real? Shambu leaves the room to answer a call .. conveniently, so that he two evil ones can overload their grief.and Dashrant bad mouths and curses Dhani. I will burn the ashram down , but my hands are tied... he means his mighty position and status but Kanak says she isn't and if anything happens to Viplav I will burn the Ashram and it's content alive! he says we should only worry about are child being safe and well...has he not noticed Durga's gone?
Viplavl lies in the old lady's room Dhani returns with the diva in her hand and limps in to put the lamp before lord Krishna's statue. Now nothing will happen to you vikal babu..and suddenly one lamp snuffs, she turns and screams at him vikal babu! vikalbanu she listens to his heartbeat.. pats his face from side to side! grabs his shoulder and shakes him crying in panic vikal babu ! wake up ! hysterically she runs in a frenzy begs him again and kneels by his bed.. sobs with her head down.. at his bedside...Dhani... she raises her head and looks at his face..his head moves and his hooded eyes peep at her!she sits by him puts her hand tenderly on his are you ok?she asks, you don't know I was so worried! and he closed his eyes and replied in a croaky guttural voice what did you think? that I was dead? hey.. if I die that easily.. smiles a bit and completes, then who will annoy you? .. and she smiles down at him .. and with a cheeky wee smile, now if after seeing me alive.. you want to embrace me, then be my guest... she becomes quiet and so does he, as his eyes scour the place and he asks where am I ?he looks at her enquiringly and she has flashes of the sequence of events which she narrates to him and the last one throws her of a bit.. but he suddenly sits up and she s creams you need rest why have you got up?and he says hoarsely, to her, how can I rest Dhani till I dont punish that Tripurai for what he has done??how can I rest?? and he throws his sheet and tries to get off the bed! Dhani pleads look, try to understand tripurari's men are everywhere you're not going anywhere! and he growls, so I should hide in the house?
Outside the men with the red van look around, one growls we have combed the whole village where have they gone the pair of them? let's go look one more time
Viplav says I gave to teach him a lesson! and Dhani blocks him crying nooo do as I say! you're not going anyway! I've said so! he moves her aside , Tripurari has done such a low level act , after this I cannot stay,. Dhani grabs his arm and begs try to understand for the love of god! don't go it's very dangerous outside! but he walks to the door and Dhani stops him from opening the door ,look I am not letting you go !
Outside the men look at the same closed door, but fed up they sit in their van and drive off!
Viplav opens the door steps out ,stands for a moment then his legs give way and he collapses on the porch...and his eyes slowly close..
