Thoughts on Dulaari

Okay, so this post on Dulaari is coming after a while.

JB is it possible a mother cud b her child's own enemy?? There's no justification to her behaviour.. today wen she out n out ignore Trip's thoughts n jst remember Vips in that FB I was forced to think she can't b her real mother.. 😕
The onli justification wch my mind cud think of her absured way of thinking is dat as a mother she want to protect her child from the Mahan DTs potha caz she consider her daughter so so inferior of DTs grandson that her child can only get heartbreak.. n so she's protecting her child frm VT.. 😕
Wese I'm totally against this forced marriage if it's happening.. but the onli relieving thing we got after this marriage is dat we wud b spared of dulaari's torture..😕 n atleast we don't hav to bear her illogical bhashan every now n then..

It is difficult to fully understand Dulari's hatred towards Viplov. Initially I could see how as a mother she would not like the growing closeness between Viplov and Dhani. Now when he has proven again and again that he cares for Dhani by saving her at risk to himself, why so much dislike? I guess Dulari has forgotten that during the time Tulsi was holding Dhani in the Ashram, it was Viplov who went back in, at risk to himself, to save her.

Dulaari !!! For me is the most irritating character of the show. I too have thought a lot about why does she hate iplav so much. Is t hate or is she scared ?

For a while I gave her the benefit of doubt. She is a mother waning to protect her daughter from the ridicule of the world and being linked to a guy who she thinks is a flirt. Viplav's presence in the ashram and his growing closeness to Dhaani could be a concern for any mother let alone one with a widowed daughter. I was sympathetic towards her and agreed with her happiness when Viplav left .

Since then her illogical disdain for Viplav and her insistence on getting Dhaani married off to Trip makes me rethink her intentions. my read is that she thinks that as long as her daughter is "available" she is an easy prey for men like Viplav - rich spoilt guys - who can give her daughter nothing but grief. Viplav's persistence has made her belief much stronger . She has jumped on to the first proposal suggested by DT.

All her energy now is being spent to ensure that the wedding completes without any hindrance. the scene between Badi amma and Dulaari confirmed it ...she does not wish to hear anything about her daughters feelings for Viplav and wishes to ignore it.

She is in denial . It does not make her a bad mother but an ignorant one with a painful past.
