IKRS 14th October 2015 ep 57 My Take.
Love manifests it's self in odd ways.. without speaking it acts in a manner where actions really speak a language that makes bold sweeping statements louder than words! There are times in life when violence and terror heaped by the perpetrator upon the victim provokes an amazing galvanized stubborn defiance in the afflicted one. Strange powers take over and the victim begins to overpower the aggressor. The first to take leave from the aggressor is the sense of self discipline. Panic sets in and lack of control begins to dwindle in. Tulsi gets desperate and she in turn attacks and slaps Dhani for the murti. The sound, Viplav's distraction on the top floor throws her off guard and the fear of the unknown sets in! smoke bomb hurled from the outside in the courtyard.. un nerves the captors further, Viplav grabs the opportunity and jumps from the top floor onto the courtyard where Dhani is held captive by Tulsi and slapped again for the murthi. Strange occurrences come to place.. puff of smoke and when it settles it is revealed that Dhani the key to Tulsi's coveted idol has vanished! in a puff of smoke!
Viplav the knight in shining arrives as her protector! a much suitable and desired quality in a man when he deals with a damsel in distress! After the retrieval, the next obvious thing would be seek for a vantage point since the place still is riddled with armed captors..The vantage area, becomes a place of bliss for the recused and the rescuer ! all fears abate, and sibilant whispers of concerned reprimand, scolding's, questions, stolen glances.. some furrowed ,look outs, considering moving to safety .So many preoccupations in the haven hiding place.. but above all it has to be a moment to celebrate their close proximity in a confined space. Where there is agreement upon one thing between each other i.e to face adversity together!! then comes his command for her to move to a safer place! which meant leaving the other one in danger.The understanding was to escape together.. Dhani her self gives him her hand to him.. to have and to hold.. the look on his face is pure victory! at last she sees he means well. Her manner that they will go together! if not then they will stay hidden together! such is the still yet bold and beautiful manifestation of unconfessed love.. their hands barely meet when their palms brush apart..
"True loves path never runs smooth".. Viplav is hit on the head. He falls flat on the courtyard floor. More trauma for Dhani once again she is taken captive, once again she is badgered for the murti.. No reasoning suffices with Dhani.. But what unhinges Dhani is when Tulsi gets the evil idea of threatening to kill Viplav if she doesn't disclose or get her the murthi..
"Was this a dagger that Dhani sees? " over Viplav's chest..it was not revenge Dhani sought from the inhuman cold Tulsi.. but it was seizing an opportunity, to see for herself what Viplav means to her? knee jerk decision without batting an eyelid! Dhani would rather suffer endless pain a gaping wound! than let the dagger in so much as touch his body! She stops Tulsi's murderous descending dagger upon Viplav chest with her bare hand and suffers the short sharp incision of the blade to the soft inner flesh of her palm! with a totally manic expression on her face .. the mad passion of protecting a loved one! Dhani looks across at Tulsi .. Dhani's blood drop on Viplav'shirt..
Dhani cracks up the captors by her passion.. Dhani is forced to let go of the knife and Tulsi asks for help so Dhani can be restrained.. she now brims with undeclared love for Viplav.. her act of grabbing the knife sets it out clearly , her willingness to harm herself in his place instead of him .. Tulsi keeps Dhani alive ,because only Dhani has access to their loot! .. Dhani is now held at knife point! It's Viplav's turn to fly to her rescue.. he had come around and he throws a pot at the knife attacker Tulsi! and she falls to the side so does her knife! .. Viplav sprints picks up the knife and holds the knife at her neck.. the comic Viplav pops out ,he has reason to act smartly, funny! he mocks and scoffs at her novice gang members who attempt to stop Viplav! he reminds them their leaders neck is under the blade.. he asks Dhani to tie them all huddled together facing out wards once they are securely roped together in bundle he teases Tulsi.. you were looking for the idol weren't you? look I 'eve made all of you into an idol! An idol of iniquity! one to be presented to the police after a citizen's arrest!
Manifestions of love.. time for a high five but Dhani shows him a symbol of love.. her slashed hand.. gallantly, he cleans it and bandages with his white bandana.. notice Dhani is bashful or plain sensible, not to disclose to him how her hand got slashed? He would start cross examining her about her sentiments towards him..
The boys in khaki arrive! With the family.. Both mothers hug their children. The gang is arrested. Viplav informs one is tied upstairs. Dhani asked to get the murthi. She brings the murthi , hands it to the police.. Viplav points out, dada ji your temple's murthi.. Kanak curses tusli you'll burn in hell! The captives are captured and carted out of ashram under police escort. Into a van.. Before he leaves the police officer congratulates and informs all viplav will be given commendation, for pride of bravery tomorrow . Tirpathi family beams and Dashrant says, that's brilliant news my grandson is being honoured!
At the doorstep of the Ashram, it seems all well that ends well.. however , how cumbersome it is for Viplav to see all his family together before him. They went through such a trauma on account of him being in this serious incident. Now he sees tears of joy in their eyes , where there were not so long ago tears of sorrowful concern.. he also sees a certain anticipation in their eyes.. for his home coming.. if this decision too he will have to take? than a man will have to do what a just man has to do...
The police leaves and Dashrant says to Viplav, he's very proud of him , he has raised his dada ji's name! Viplav replies to his grandad ,mother , dadi .. the truth is the true claimants should be these women.. seeing their guts I mustered up courage.. did you know a knife was pressed against their throat. But they just dug their heels in.. at one point even I was weakened , I nearly told the gang where the murthi was. but these women just stood firm.. Dashrant salutes their bravery. Inderani then praises Viplav in return, we want to thank you for putting your own life at risk to save our lives. Viplav looks the widows, as they turn to go into the Ashram ..
Persuasion.. family pressure upon Viplav to return home. moments when a person has to combat soft play..familial bonds.. with immense grit Viplav has to battle with the sentiments of people he loved.. his dadaji,dadi ,and his mother.. with divine wisdom he takes the decision he considers fair and proper..
Viplav turns to his family at the Ashram door.. now you'd better go home too. Kanak cries, we'll go but not without you! they all try to convince him.. cajole him into coming home with them and he says wisely what about my promise I made to these widows? Viplav stoically reminds them of his commitment of doing them proud , more proud then now.. he implores , he has to fulfill his calling .. to his mother he appeals does she not wish to see him as famous and full of stature like dada ji? Dashrant understands ,and bids Kanak to leave him be...Dashrant has mellowed down.. he sees Viplav earning back the family's good name that his mother tarnished only recently.. plus questions raised about his tax evasion.. his whole maha pandit status in jeopardy , all the more due to the spate of thefts happening in mandirs under his patronage.
he comes in widows relaxing in the courtyard Dhani asks him you haven't gone home? he says no. Dulari says, you should gone your mum ,gran , grandad were all pleading.. and Viplav tells his best selling and best bought story , his grandad kicked him out of the car when he found out you lot owned me money.. he said don't you leave the money get it to the last penny! don't you dare to bring the tripathi name down! and he sent me back..so back here now! can't even go home? I'll sleep in that corner he smiles at Dhani.
Racchna asks Viplav , at the commendation function will we be awarded money too? apart from being presented a garland. or just some refreshments, and then sent home.. Inderani says it's an honour enough for all of us that commissioner is commending Viplav for his act of valour.. Rachna says you were so correct in keeping an eye on Tulsi from the very beginning, stopped her from running off the murti.. and we wouldn't have found out the truth because if was up to this Dhani.. who sees goodness in every one .. Dhani now confesses before all... your are so right Rachna , sometimes I think must be mad ..that I totally misjudge people and , shame faced she looks at Viplav who smiles at her.. then questions , hey you are still holding your hand ? Viplav goes off and Dulari goes to make turmeric paste to apply on her wound..
Ideal couple.. Dashrant ,Sushma?
At Viplav's house Dashrant tells his servant for the honouring ceremony get five platters of fruit ready! and yes decorate them well! the message should be understood! should I have five platters or eleven? Dashrant asks himself puzzled with excitement.. dadi comes and says.. seeing you so happy today gives me so much joy how you are arranging for the function.. he says we're not doing this for our self, but for Viplav babaa ! our child. he spots kanak behind Sushma and tells his wife.. make sure you wear your new gold necklace tomm.. the one I gave you as tomorrow is the occasion.. Kanak pulls a jealous face .. Dashrant continues to be grudge her.. it will end only when Viplav returns.
Challenging old practices and introducing new order..
Dulari applies the paste and Dhani says it's burns a lot.. Dulari chides her be patient! and takes off Viplav's bandana .. and looks at Dhani's bleeding hand.. and begins to apply and Dhani says it'll burn . Viplav grabs Dulari's hand and says don't put this on her hand... buchiye might get infection and he flashes a band aid kit.. Dhani says.. you leave it.. maa knows the ancient treatment ..he retorts , if I suggest something surely it's not a sinful? He looks down at him and she looks up at him.. welcome back to the Ashram Viplav.. any more skirmishes between you and Dhani???
It was an expected end of the hostage taking scene.. some lovely sides of Viplav's character.. action man, romantic, broody, comic and the finest one when he meets his family in the end at the doorstep.. to me that was the best scene.. yes great smile when he grabs Dhani's hand... bit funny the scene.. gets a bang on the head rightaway.. Precap:on the dais Viplav speaks to the people.. I have found out that in Benaras allowing widows In the temple is still considered as sign of ill omen.. which is condemnable .. but I tell you one thing if there is any one who can really protect faith and prabhu.. it's these widows! and the truth is I am not the only one who deserves this commendation , so today I'll ask them to come on stage and share this honour with me...
