IKRS 7th September 2015 ep.25.. My Take

Fury has the power to numb the powers of reasoning.. it sows the seed of angst which spreads like wild fire.. Fury is an emotion that rages like an all-consuming fire capable of bringing out the beast in us. The strong in mind though , manage to tame the raging bull, the roaring lion by bridling the rage by diverting their attention. The gamut of Viplav's emotions did get the better of him when he finds himself at a dead end of a situation which defies his comprehension. At such times he gives vent to the surge of anger by reaching out for his basket ball..a symbol of America.. A reminder that he is here in Banaras only for a short while.. as he'll be jetting off to USA. But that is then. For now he presses into the ball.. he is vexed because he is wrongly accused by this snappy widow who makes him look like some evil lying toad! Undermined and rejected all his genuine efforts of the time and commitment that he put in for the widows shelter. The rage at her.. slowly then revolves around to himself and he hates himself for wasting his time on this case.. he calls both.. the women foolish and himself too! so to me it's not an all and out damnation for Dhani and the widows, as he blames himself too for taking up the case in the first place.. the preoccupation with the incident then is integral with this accusatory shirty widow! where Viplav's sentiment ignites and blazes in the comfort of his room

Dhani too lights the warm fire of hope in her sleepy camp, out under the cold night sky. Despite her stoic demeanour ,one look at the locked door of the ashram fans her rage towards the insensitive lawyer she recalls his words about winning the case . She still is amazed at his limited view of life whereby he enjoys his victory at the hands of the widows eviction. It's in black and white, evidence ! they are rendered hopeless because of him! rich, tunnel vision, rakhshas! The evil one! they are having to live rough! ..the locked door of the ashram has robbed them off access to their home.. no help is at hand for the vulnerable. Dhani moans alone.. silently

At Viplav's home.. a door opens and through it help comes as relieve for his emotional turmoil in the form of dadi.. Viplav moans openly to her , about that widow who drives him around the bend. The one who ruined his mood after his victory celebration! , so loathsome is she and her ways to him! that he never wants to set eyes upon her! he'll avoid coming across her! change direction of his way should he confront her! won't even go anywhere in the area where she lives!! Dadi hears all and then says.. the impossible," forget everything" and go to sleep..this is Viplav's issue, this girl has crept under his skin.. his whinge to dadi was really a talking aloud to himself regards which manner he should deal with this widow.. as far as he is concerned, he's washed his hands off her case!.. but has he washed her out of his heart and mind? doesn't look like it.. this rage is an excuse to mull over her!

The crooks assemble, for they too need emotional uplift from each other.. Dashrant praises Kanak for bringing Viplav up with such high ideals. In turn she praises him, Viplav couldn't have achieved so much without the backing of his dada ji's holy, great patronage and high expectations from him.. by saying this she is putting down shambu Viplav's own father! full of himself ,Dashrant, comments, he's inspired many a people with his high ideals and expectations, but some people have fallen short of them and they are like horses that gallop all their lives! but never get to their destination!. Dashrant here refers to Tripurari, his own wife Shakuntala .. his maimed son Shambu.. all substandard and defective in his eyes as they bring shame to his name!

All of life's doors are closed upon us..

The snowball of ill luck rolls into the life of the homeless , vulnerable widows. It's them on one side and the system on the other side. Indrani returns with bad tidings DM out of town even his peon doesn't know when he is likely to return. He didn't know where the stay order paper was. how long we'll be out on the streets?? Question on their lips. Indrani says it's our bad luck that Dhani didn't get to meet DM. Dhani says she tried to phone vidhi but her phone too was unobtainable .. one of the older widows , sums up looks like all the doors to our life have closed.. it is on such low times ,that the strong in spirit are given the divine wisdom to fend for what it is right! A new day has dawned..Dhani decides to hold a peaceful demonstration with signs to raise public awareness to their plight! With a view to finding help! The widows stands at the traffic lights and shows their placards in the midst of the bustle of morning time traffic. People ignore them and shoo them off like beggars! The wheels of the world turn, and are in full motion.. no time they have! to consider the plea of these widows!

The guardian angel.. breaks news, brings hope for some and realization for others..

Viplav in bed is woken up by his phone..its Tania !... she sees the widows demonstration, people laughing at them! cussing them, new way of begging.. Tania becomes the harbinger of good news for the widows and bad news for Viplav! Tania and Dhani meet. Viplav miffed, yells at Tania over the phone! what volcano has erupted? In reply to Tania.. he fires his argument.. I got them the stay order! and they abused me instead!!.. Tania points out his grave folly to him...they have been kicked out! they tried to contact DM, you too never listened to them! now they are on the roads we have to help them.. you get to ashram and I'll get to police station!!.. one blunder of not showing patience and grace.. lands Viplav face down again!.. the shirty widows banter at the gates now make sense to him.. why does the penny drop so late with Viplav.. is he too opinionated and judgemental?? Is it part of his trade?

Finding out the facts from the other side.. Tania asks Dhani why didn't you phone me? Dhani states the obvious, she didn't have her number.. Rajlaxmi, true to her nature calls Viplav is a liar and deceitful! Dhani tells about papers.. and that the lawyer is not trustworthy.. Tania stops her no I know him he wouldn't do such a thing.. she gets very upset. but they make up.. Tania offers her help they head for police station.. Tania's love .loyalty for Viplav surfaces and she takes offence to anti Viplav remarks..

Viplav arrives to see the mess he accidently created..

Viplav arrives at the ashiram.. heavens, he is made to eat humble pie.. sometimes the utterances of our mouth, rebound on us ,before we know it.. Viplav tells Raj, I had decided won't see that widows face again and look it's come back to where it all began .. and it's all because of the Tania ! Where is Tania? So Raj and Viplav walk toward's the ashram. She phones him from police station. .tania argues with inspector, there house has been snatched.. but to no avail..

Viplav sees the widows sitting homeless before the ashram.. he says it's true, who could do such a thing? I got them the stay order..this is true, he did get them the stay order so why this eviction then? Dhani returns with placards and they look at each other..if looks could kill.. he was dead!! Suvarna says why have you come here ,anything left since last night you wish to say?..he said the same words to Dhani.. and he says, yes I didn't have a dream that you were evicted! .. so this is what I came to see! how would I know stop talking rubbish! .. Dhani replies.. now you know ,so please go now.. besides you said you won't help.. he replies yes I know..said that after I got you the stay order.. but I didn't know despite the stay order, this has happened. who did this? if it's lalla then I'll am leaving to sort him out as he has ignored the stay order! he turns to leave.. Dhani shouts, stop your drama! I know how much you want to fight for us.. you think we are stupid we don't understand what's going on? enough of you poking fun at us! now please leave... Viplav's past of doing things in jest follows him still. Dhani finds it difficult to see the reasoning he is trying to share with her and the rest of them..what do you think? I have even dropped fighting the case for you.. Dulari says.. what my daughter is saying is true , you said you are not our lawyer now have you come here to see how us widows are managing out on the street without your help! flak he gets.. Viplav was bound to get flak from the widows.. he would be paid back with the same words and attitude he had shown towards them..they were undergoing suffering due to his past grudge against them! it is normal for us to react that way..especially if our way of life is threatened.. Finally Indrani says, after last night all hope of getting back our ashram are dashed.. so please go..will Viplav have a change of heart and take up their case?

The final confrontation with the she who is the bane of his life!

Viplav turns to leave and Dhani WALKS like a lioness toward's him.. but boldly, like an honourable man.. he waits for her to give him more flak too, he'll take it probably, as he may be at fault.. she bends to the ground.. for a benediction.. to touch his feet seemingly.. and his subconscious thoughts make him , say.. no need to touch my feet.. and inclines over her slightly to prevent her from further going down to his feet.. symbolic.. of a wife who touches her husband's feet.. but Dhani looks up and gives him a mocking look. and then reaches out for the Rudraksha BETWEEN THEM on the ground before his feet ,the Rudraskha, a kind of shield against negative energies! protects her against all fear!! Dhani picks the mala, which also symbolises support for her as she is on the move.. out of her house on the streets.. the Rudraksha creates a cover of energy around her.. with the mala in hand she turns, and walks back to the widows.. Dulari scoffs at Viplav, don't kid yourself this will never happen. did she mean marriage between Dhani and Viplav?..

A great beginning to the week.. both Dhani and Viplav were excellent in emoting inner sentiments in the last scene. To me the episode also now showed the love triangle.. Dhani ,Viplav and Tania. Tania who will act as the joinery piece between Dhani and Viplav. She will help them to win, but will herself end up being the one on the losing side..

👏 Very nice analysis. The pace of the story has visibly slowed down, therefore not much is happening in each episode these days; still you are able to get so much out of the episodes.

There were two highlights for me in your take today, Hammie

1. Your observation of DT's and Kanaks fixation on perfection. Imperfect are those born out of wedlock, just because they are illegitimate, and imperfect are those with physical or other disabilities, including the people who raised them. Nicely done.
actually i seemed to miss the issue with tripurari.. .. shall we say he's the love child.. or a bit on the side.. fancy dashrant being dismissive about it such a hypocrite
2. Your interpretation of the rudraksha as a kavacha was wonderful and spot on. Not only is it the only source of protection from all despair for a homeless Dhani, but it also represents a full circle. Dhani and Viplav have come a full circle, and now it is back to square one. Also, there is a vicious circle of the poor getting poorer, more exploited and more oppressed, even as the rich are getting richer and more secure in their positions day by day. Finally, there is the circle of karma. No matter how much Vip and Dhani decide to avoid each other, destiny appears to have ordained them to move in each other's circles.
now this is a brill point.. actually viplav say's this is where it started and now iam back to square one

Again Hammie I liked your analysis more than the episode.

You know what? I hated the way cvs made Tania see the widows and help them ..why did she come to Benaras? Hiw did she find those widows in the crowded city? Just by accident? I am very disappointed by cvs lack of imagination. This looks like they just wanted Tania to become widows saver. I don't want Tania to become an idol for Dhani. It will be difficult for Dhani to snatch Viplav from the woman who loved him first.

look keep the focus right.. viplav does not love her.. neither does he envisage marrying Tania.. she will be used as the one who will make at least a path of peace between dhani and viplav.. she will be the facilitator but like I said will not qualify for his love..

I agree with you. Never say: never. Viplav is made to eat his words and vows the very next morning..who coud imagine?! But it just took some one who is really a gem of a person like Viplav to accept his mistakes..and be ready to correct them. Viplav grew bigger in my eyes. It is sad that there are no many ppl like this in true life.

Dhani is still cought to her first impression. She doesn't change her mind..she diesn't want to see the logic in a person who took her case, fought came a long way from Delhi, reached in time, fought for her case without any proof, got stay order..without asking for money..all he wanted was just a mere : thank you ..which he didn't get.

I think he can see into her soul.. awida ..

I loved the last scene, and sympolism which you explained in it..gave me hope that ViDha will be one soon.

I think every one is hoping for that outcome..😃..

Precap was good. Poor Viplav ..whatever he say or do doesn't matter to stubborn Dhani.
