Are they trying to shift major audience on online platforms? If that's for TRP then it's actually a good move.

Bold yes, the TRP system is in dire need of a revamp, but does Star alone moving away work? Would need the other channels to come on board.

Odd thing is that Star are probably the biggest beneficiaries of the TRP system- they dominate virtually every slot in prime time.

With pirates and WU's doing the rounds, there'll practically be no incentive for folks to watch on TV when they know what is going to happen, and the likes of us watching will reduce, which could potentially skew TRP even more in favour of the older generation (if it stays relevant as a metric, that is)

And for shows like MHRW, who practically seem to have a bank of just 5-6 episodes (sometimes even less), this will increase pressure on the producers.

A lower bank could also help the producers effect a change in track in case the TRP audience didn't like it- this will become even more difficult in the new scenario.

Yes that's what I was wondering. I think this arrangement is somewhat going to mess up.

In shorter time for shows like MHRW because they have less content in quantity wise. There will be pressure on actors as well. I remember once Star had decided to air episodes on Saturdays too and actors had too much pressure and their health condition worsened.

This too- I remember reading that one of the reasons the MHRW producer wasn't too much in favour of a rain sequence was because of the worry that his leads would get sick 😃

I personally like the 5 day concept- it's probably the right balance IMO.

The producer is very generous to think of the actors then.

I like the 5 day concept too. It creates balances and provides time to the writers to come up with new concepts too.

I hope Star has a back up plan too in case this system doesn't work. Time will tell if their decision is correct or not.

These two should’ve created their own YouTube channel during IPZN where they discussed random topics they have different views on like social media, reels, meditation, chess… list goes on. They are so funny. And then have videos of people making Akshita laugh while standing/sitting beside Param, Rajat, Bhola, Dadi, Nawaz.. how I’ve missed seeing Akshita hitting Param. 😆
