He is conservative and has orthodox views on womens' role in the family system but he was never heartless, mean and abuser of the system like Mausaji-Dadi-Sarlu. If he expected certain thigns from his wife, he also thought he will play his role honestly and with whole heart. Yes, he won't go in kitchen everyday but when his wife is not well he will do it. He does this out of love and care for his wife which comes right from heart. I remember the incident when Raj held food tray as Sonu's finger burnt. At that time, he was worried for Sonu but did give in to Sarla's taunts. Even at that time he was not really agreeing to Sarla. But now he has crossed that barrier and bluntly disagree with dadi whenevr it comes to basic humane things. His views are not like dadi or Sarla which are more to abuse and exploit DIL of house. For Dadi, Sarla only women are supposed to sacrifice for family. But Ahaan expects it from wife and at the same time he is ready to it himslef.

Yes that is one thing I really like about his character. Even many other traditional views that he have are only as he has not seen the ideal environment and not the other side or people suffering due to those. Once he sees that , he is ready to change that view.

He also holds managing household in a very high regard unless many other orthodox people who considers this to be nothing great.

Yes, he has not seen real world problems. When he got to knwo abotu mausaji, he did not say Masi shoud live with Mausaji which Dadi-Sarlu think. Given a logical argument and examples he changes his views. HE also quickly changed opinin about all workign women being homebreaker when Ishqi was rady to apologize Sarla and took all blame on herself.

Yes, he said it before that managing home is more difficult and he reagards it higher than workign in office. So he has that respect for women unlike people like Mausaji-Dadi. Dadi-Sarlu always keep sayign how men are great and women should follow them. "Biwiyon ke liye, patiyon ke jo aeb hote hai wo Mardon ke shauk hote hai"🤢. Ahaan was never like that.
