Hey guys! Here I am with the Part 2. This one is gonna be emotional. Hope you like it.
PART 2
Ahaan had highly misunderstood Ishqi for walking off the Mandap like it was no big deal to her. But soon he was revealed of the truth of his “best friend”. He felt betrayed then and he felt betrayed now. The only difference was, this time his world was shaken.
He had blamed her, shamed her and what not. She took it all without saying a word just to protect his baby sister. After driving with the constant blurred vision, it was a relief he reached her place without meeting a major accident.
“AVM?”
“Ishqi”
She was always good at reading him through his eyes. He always was intrigued by how she could know the battles he was fighting inside of him. But today, it was an exception. His pain was so visible that a kid could tell that this man was not in a good state, let alone Ishqi.
“AVM, kya hua hai aapko?”
“Tumse baa tkar sakta hoon?”
“Haan, andar aaiye.”
He took a seat on the sofa and tried to stay as calm as he could. Ahaan had got so used to concealing his emotions that it felt almost unnatural to share what he was dealing with at a given point of time. As unexpected as it was, he never could have imagined that Ishqi would be the person he would want to be with when the biggest shock of his life had destroyed him.
Why Ishqi?
“AVM, yeh lijiye paani peejiye.”
“Aap theek toh hai na AVM?”
“Ishqi, tumhe main akdu aur ziddi lagta hoon na.”
“AVM aap aise kyu bol rahe hai?” She could hear the cracks in his voice while he asked this question. Though, she had used this word for him many a times but she never really said anything to hurt him and not meaning them by heart.
“You know what usme ek adjective aur add karlo – bevkoof.”
She didn’t know what to say. What was going inside him, she couldn’t tell. All she could tell was Mr. AVM was not fine.
"Tum sahi kehti thi mere baare mein, Ishqi. I’m a stupid man. You know, maine zindagi bhar socha ki main samajhdaar hoon, sensible hoon, jo karta hoon theek karta hu. But sab galat tha. Sab jhoot tha. Sach toh yeh hai that I’m a coward.Darpok hoon main."
Now she knew that Ahaan was broken beyond limits, she couldn’t tell what was it. But it was something beyond what she could imagine. Ishqi took a seat beside him and held his hand to console him.
“AVM, main nahi jaanti woh kya baat hai jisne aapko itna pareshaan kara hai. Par main aapko ek baat bata deti hu. Ki abhi aapne jo kaha woh bilkul galat tha.” She took a long breath to stop herself from crying.
“Aap na bevkoof hai, na darpok. Aapke liye main sirf ek word use kar sak ti hu..”
He finally gathered the courage to look at her beautiful face as she held on to his hand and spoke the next word.
“Selfless. You are a selfless man, Mr. AVM. Aap woh insaan hai jo apni family ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai. Kuch bhi. “
Family. She had no clue, the word that meant everything to this man was actually going to bring a side of him that she has never witnessed till date. The word that was probably his favorite of all words in the world could cause him such unimaginable pain.
Years of self-control went down a drain when he heard the world “family” and a tear helplessly rolled down his cheek while his eyes shot red. Family. His body froze right there at the word, his eyes not blinking.
By now, Ishqi’s concern reached to the maximum seeing him like this. She repeatedly asked him what was wrong with him but he couldn’t hear a word. His mind echoed the word, family, a thousand times and no other sound was reaching him. He was as still as a stone.
Ishqi who felt helpless after her repeated attempts, grabbed him by his arms and held him close to her in an embrace. Throwing her delicate arms around his muscled body, she held him close while she wept.
Finally, he spoke a word after minutes of stillness.
“Ishqi..” He could barely manage to speak a word that little, a five-alphabet word and his voice broke a thousand times. Before she could make sense of anything, she heard Ahaan crying. Yes, Ahaan the big brother, the responsible grandson, the business tycoon was crying. What she saw was only stillness before the outburst of a cyclone of emotions.
Ahaan was weeping like a baby while Ishqi held him close to her chest. He burrowed his face into her and cried. She didn’t say a word. She understood it was essential for him to break down before she can help him build again. She let him cry as much as he wanted, while she stroke his back and his hair like he was hers.
“Ishqi..”
“Haan, AVM”
“I have been fooled Ishqi. I have been fooled all my life. Meri choti behen, jisse maine khud se zada pyar kia usne mujhse baatein chupai. Usne marna zada asaan samjha, mujhe batane ki jagah. My little sister Ishqi. Jis insaan ko maine apna bestfriend maana, usne mujhe itna bada dhoka diya. Meri choti behen ke saath aisi harkat kari. Tumhe pata hai aisa kyu hua mere saath? Main batata hu,kyunki zindagi bhar jis insaan ki maine pooja kari wahi galat hai. “
What did he mean by that? She wanted to know what has happened at the same time didn’t have the courage to listen to what was going to come next.
"Meri dadi ne bhi mujhe dhoka diya Ishqi."
Her grip on his body loosened a bit with the words she just heard. What did his dadi do?
"Ishqi, maa." And he wept again.
Ahaan couldn’t remember the last time he used that word for his mother. He could see the little Ahaan saying this word with the most love when he wanted to go out for playing or wanted a new toy.
“My mom, Ishqi she never left us for money. She wanted to come back to us, she loved me Ishqi. Woh mujhse pyar karti hai, woh Sonu se pyar karti hai. But ek insaan ne unhe wapas laut ke aane nahi diya.”
Hope you all like this one too. There will be one more part, hopefully.

PART 3
Romance, but wait?
Ishqi was shocked to listen to the revelations made by Ahaan. She could barely keep calm and think straight but being the fighter that she is she pulled up a strong face and tried to console him.
"Ishqi, I don't deserve your care. I just don't deserve your friendship."
"Don't say that AVM"
"No Ishqi, I don't. Mujhe saza mil rahi hai harr acche insaan ke liye bura sochne ki. Tumhare sath bura karne ki, apni maa ke saath bura karne ki.
Mujhe insaan ki pehchaan nai hai. Maine jo tumhare saath kia uske baad bhi aaj mere sath koi ho na ho but tum ho. "
He carefully held her hand while his eyes were still red and brimming with tears.
"I can't thank you enough for being there for me."
Ishqi had managed to put Ahaan to sleep for some time. His body was so tired after all the crying that he slipped into a slumber on her sofa.
'He sleeps like a baby.' She thought to herself and moved without disturbing him from his sleep.
The Evening
Ahaan woke up from his sleep, rubbing his eyes and coming back to the harsh reality.
"Ishqi, I don't feel like going home. I don't have the courage to face anyone at the moment. I don't know what to do."
"Agar aapko aaj ghar jaane ka mann nahi hai, toh matt jaaiye AVM."
"Thank you Ishqi, mujhe nahi pata agar tum nahi hoti toh main kya karta. Main apne liye kahi koi room book karleta hu for staying. "
Ishqi knew the situation Ahaan was in and she was not ready to leave this man alone in this condition. She had never seen him break down like this. To see the tough guy Mr. AVM shiver in her arms while he wept was not a sight she could imagine. She knew he needed someone to hold him close whenever his eyes well up.
"Aap aaj yaha se kahi nahi jaaenge. Yeh Ishqi ka order hai aur aapko manna hi padega."
"But Ishqi" He hesitated a bit to stay at her place.
"No buts and no ifs, main aapko itni asaani se jaane nai de sakti. Aapko torture karne ke saare tareeke dhund ke nikale hai maine."
"Matlab?"
"Matlab aapko aaj mere hath ka khaana khana padega."
His lips curled into a smile listening to this woman. She felt like she had conquered a fort by bringing a smile to his face. She wished she could keep that smile up forever.
"Ishqi, maasi bhi ghar par nahi hai..I mean.."
"Kyu? Aapko darr lagg raha hai mujhse?"
"Nahi mera woh matlab nahi tha. "
"Dekhiye, Mr. Naam Teen Banda Mean aap honge bahot sanskari but main aapse bhi zada hu. Main aapke sath kuch aisa waisa nai karne waali. Sochiyega bhi matt."
How could she do this all the time? No matter what the situation she could manage to bring a smile on his face.
"Ishqi.." he couldn't control his chuckle listening to her cracked up sense of humour.
"Ab jaaiye aur fresh hojaiye."
He couldn't determine how exactly he felt while she took care of him like he was hers. But he knew that he felt content to have her around.
They peacefully ate the dinner together and he got to know that she actually isn't a bad cook at all. She had prepared some simple yet delicious food. The way he liked it.
After The Dinner
She knew the turmoil Ahaan was going through and therefore didn't want him to sit idle.
"Movie dekhenge?" His mind being preoccupied he didn't really had a response.
"Main toh dekhungi aur aapko bhi dekhni padegi. Yeh meri favourite comedy movie hai. Dekhiye yeh mera ghar hai aur aapko mere rules follow karne padenge. Chaliye aakar yaha bethiye aur mere sath movie dekhiye."
He knew why she was doing it all and he felt fulfilled just to know how she wants to take all the possible care of him.
What relationship do I share with her? On the face of it, she is my friend. Sometimes she reprimands me, nurtures me like a mother. And at times..she behaves like a wife, a lover.
Lover. He put the most emphasis to this specific word and felt the happiest to even imagine her being his lover. Ishqi and me. Something inside him felt elated to even think of this scenario.
"Arey AVM kya soch rahe hai aap? Mera favourite scene aane walaa hai."
Soon he too got absorbed in her favourite movie, though it made little to no sense to him considering he has never been a fan of such movies which required little to no thinking involved. But to his surprise, he was enjoying it.
Both of them laughed in harmony at the punches, discussing the scenes in between. She took her eyes off the screen to witness how she likes Ahaan, the little laughing kid. He's a site to witness, atleast to her. She kept on looking at him having a hearty laugh while she had tears in her eyes just to see him laugh and smile. To balance her body, she kept her hand to the table behind her but suddenly something poked her finger.
"Ah! Ouch!"
It was an unpolished sliver from the wooden table.
"Ishqi, kya hua?"
He almost jumped off the sofa listening to her and quickly came closer to check if she is fine.
"Show me your hand."
"Arrey yeh kuch nahi hai, it'll be okay. Aap yeh scene dekhiye bahot funny hai" She cursed herself for stopping his laughter.
"Just shut up. Show me."
He tried to carefully examine her finger while she kept on looking at his innocent face.
She looked at his eyes, they speak so much to her. Sometimes more than he does. She looked at his nose, sharp like a razor. And finally his lips. He has such perfect lips.
Stop it Ishqi, she tried telling herself but still looking at him.
They are pink and soft like a baby's lips.
That's it, you need to stop.
He successfully took the tiny sliver off her finger without her even realizing it. As he looked up, he saw her looking at him. She tried to shift her gaze to her hand as if checking that he had took the sliver off. While he kept on looking at her angelic face.
How can she look so pretty? Her eyes speak of honesty, her nose of her temper and those lips.
No Ahaan, that's it don't cross the line, he thought.
How would it feel to touch them with my thumb?
AVM you're crossing the line.
How would it feel to touch them with my lips?
Ahaan, you've crossed the line.
But it was too late, their eyes finally met. They could both feel it wasn't the usual stare. The tension in the air could be felt by both and there was no one who could deny it.
He moved his lips closer to hers, feeling her breath on his face. He has had immense self control in the past but he could barely keep up with that tonight and pressed his lips into hers.
He slowly pulled his hand to caress her face while the other rested on her waist.
To her, it was her first kiss and she felt like a thousand butterflies dancing around in her stomach and tingling sensations all over her body.
From a sweet liplock, their energies were rising every single second into the kiss with both of them wanting more from each other.
Their lips moved in rhythm with each other. He leaned to her, throwing his weight on her. She couldn't complain, she felt intimate just to have him so close to her.
She pulled his hair as a sign of desire and he tightened his grip over waist, as his fingers pierced into her soft skin.
For him too, the level of intensity and passion kissing Ishqi was something he had never experienced before. A thought ran through his mind "Why did I wait to experience this for so long?"
Something in him got scared and pulled back from her lips, her being a little embarrassed and surprised at the sudden withdrawal.
Taking a pause and a breath he said "I'm so sorry Ishqi. I'm sorry. Sorry."
"You are what?" Ishqi asked in a feeble voice.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have."
Ishqi stood up in a jiffy and marched to the bedroom, seemingly put down by what he just said not by what he did.
Hope you like it n maybe I can have another part.
Beautiful beautiful! 😍❤
