RCB: With 8 wins out of 12 games, they are currently in second place in the points table. Their batting order, which includes Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and Tim David, has been in very good form.

SRH: SRH has only won 4 of their 12 games and is already out of the running for the playoffs.

Hmmmmm! Is it a home game or away game for RCB?

a woman in a lab coat is smiling while holding her hair .

RCB wants to think it is an away game as literally they are not playing in Bengaluru and their success rate was very low at home. It is not their opponent's home ground either.

Cheers..

18:30 Local Time, 13:00 GMT, 18:30 IST: Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the 65th clash of IPL 2025 folks! The venue for this fixture was the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru initially, however, due to inclement weather down south, it got shifted to the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Today, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns with the runner’s up of IPL 2024 - Sunrisers Hyderabad. It has been a disappointing performance by the Orange Army this season, and with Travis Head’s unavailability they don’t look a solid side on paper. On the other hand, RCB are riding high on confidence this season as most of the things have gone right for them, barring a few hiccups at their home ground in Bangalore. But they can’t afford to be complacent towards the business end of the tournament. A win tonight will help them maintain the momentum with the playoffs approaching soon. They would want to finish in the top 2 teams. Will they?

IPL S18E65. We are at the home stretch. Only six matches to go before the playoffs. The four spots are sealed, but there is still a question of who finishes 1 and 2. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have a solid shot at boosting their chances of a top-two finish as they 'host' Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Lucknow. Why Lucknow, you ask? This game, originally scheduled to be played in Bengaluru, was shifted a few days back due to a yellow alert issued by the meteorological department in Bengaluru. Just an FYI, it is dry in Bengaluru right now, though there were a few showers in the afternoon.

Hellos from the Ekana in Lucknow, where there is expected to be a good crowd by the time the match starts. RCB flags and jerseys dominate the stadium. However, in the midst of all this, Virat Kohli's jersey is quite popular. The vital thing is that his Test white jersey is giving a good competition to his RCB jersey in the shops outside.

Lots to discuss in today's game. First things first, good news RCB fans, Josh Hazlewood is expected to return to the IPL for the playoffs after coming through a period of rehab on a shoulder niggle back in Australia. Rajat Patidar, who had a "bad knock" on his hand is also fit for the match tonight, so is Phil salt having recovered from a viral infection.

Pitch report: We are on pitch no. 4 in Lucknow. The square boundaries are 60m and 67m respectively, 74m down the ground. The surface is quite dark in colour. There's a decent matting of grass on it, patchy in places. It's very dry, hence the ball will grip in the surface. Spinners will enjoy bowling here. The pacers can take pace off the ball and expect it to hold in the surface, they might get some assistance. Teams love chasing here, so need to get 180-plus if you bat here. The bias is on batting second and chase. It's a wicket where you can't play through the line. The opposition might make some mistakes if they go hard at the top. A pitch where 180-odd is a gettable total.
