Poll One: Tie breaker for highest runs, 6s, 4s and wickets.

Hello members,

This is poll number one and the reason for the poll is to break a tie between 2 or more players with the same highest runs/ highest 6s/highest 4s with best strike rate and highest wickets with best economy rate.

Please note, the system does not allow to add two names, hence the necessity to break the tie.

For option one we will use information from cricinfo which is accessible to everyone.

Check this link for total impact of each player for the match between LSG and DC.

We will leave the poll open for 3 days. Whichever option gets more votes will be implemented ASAP.

If any further voting is required, it will take few more days to implement.

Why not give half-half points to those who have selected those two players?? This way no one looses the point

Chose a subcategory that is common and applies to runs, wickets, 4 s and 6 s.

e.g. give points to the player whose name comes alphabetically first. Just an example.

Or senior age wise etc .

At the moment, only one player's name can be added in the system.

To give full points or half points we can't add two names.

That is why we need to break the tie. Just like they use super over to break the tie between two teams we need to find a solution to break the tie.

I think it will be interesting if it can be decided by the % of runs the player has scored out of the total runs. Whose % is higher he might be given the edge.

Also there is a very little chance that even the % of runs will match.

If a batsman has scored 70 runs out of team total of 100.

If a batsman has scored 75 runs out of team total of 100.

The 75% player could be the winner.

Kusum, it is an automated system. We have a limitation and we can select only one player's name in any of those categories. Manual intervention is needed only to select the winners' names in each category. The limitation is, only one name per category. The rest is done automatically.

I am not saying that we select two persons at same time I am saying that suppose I chose RS and he scored most runs in his team with a particular SR and you chose MSD and he also scores the same run with same SR as Rohit in a same match and it’s a tie so give both of us 50 points or something like that.

We all know this tie-breaker thing can't happen in every second or third match.

If I selected Prasidh, then I'm okay if Rashid's name was written in the system after the match.

I care about my 50 points, which should be added to my grand total regardless of whose name is written in the system.

They changed Rashid to Sakariya, which means the system allows updating the grand total of the members too.
