Did you know?

- David Warner needs 31 more runs to reach the tally of 500 against Rajasthan Royals. Nine players have 500-plus runs against RR, with Shikhar Dhawan (662 runs) heading the list.

- R Ashwin needs two more wickets to equal Harbhajan Singh, who tops the list of wicket-takers against Delhi Capitals with 24 scalps.

- Yuzvendra Chahal has an excellent record against right-handed batters, having picked up 65 wickets in the IPL since 2019. He averages 17.57 against right-handed batters, with an economy of 7.15. Compared to this, he has dismissed left-handers only 24 times, although his economy rate of 7.84 against them is not a bad thing from RR's perspective.

What has gone wrong for DC? The list is too long. DC haven't had their batting and bowling department firing at all. They need a much improved performance today.

What has gone wrong for RR? KM Asif's role in the team has been to bowl with the new ball and chip in at the death. But he was very expensive in the last game. Barring that the experience in the bowling attack can make any team envious.

As far as squads are concerned. Can't see RR making any changes. May be Asif might give way to Saini or may be Sandeep Sharma. Padikkal's position in the batting order is a little bit of a concern as well. And as for DC, can't fathom how many changes can they make to turn this around? I would leave it to you peeps to put on the selector's hat!

Another flat bed is expected to be doled out for today's game. Batters should be able to relish the 22 yards and the shorter fences. And there is enough artillery and ammunition we should see today as both sides boast of some of the biggest T20 mercenaries.

Our early bird Goks says - Jos Buttler is practising batting and doesn't appear in any discomfort. Looks like Joe Root's IPL debut might have to wait.

Delhi Capitals have won the toss and have opted to field

Warner: Don't know what's gonna happen. Hopefully we will start well. Marsh has gone home to get married. All the best to him. There is one forced change. There are changes. Lalit comes in as well.
