Delhi Capitals have finished this off in a hurry. MI were looking invincible last week, but since then they have been beaten and today they have been humbled. With a small target, DC were always favourites and Shafali Verma gave them a fitting start. She owned the powerplay, scoring over the infield for fun. Matthews however got the better of her in the penultimate powerplay over, but that brought Alice Kapsey to the crease. She continued from where Verma left off, and pummelled Matthews for three sixes in an over. Meg Lanning played her part too, scoring at a brisk rate herself. Capsey then attacked Ishaque when she returned to bowl, plundering two sixes and a four. Then it was down to the score the winning runs in that very over. Delhi Capitals chase down the target in 9 overs, and they move ahead of MI on net run rate. What a performance.
