Arjun walked nearer the pool with brisk steps. He looked at the fish in water and then the actual fish rotating in speed. He measured the time it takes to rotate,then assessed the place where he has to meet the fish eye with his arrow. He understood how he should send his arrow since the fish will move immediately further if he delays it even for a fraction of a second. So the arrow's speed should be in accordance with the place it will strike the fish eye.not less,not more.
Arjun then turned towards the bow and smiled at Dhrisht who is watching him attentively. He then gazed at the bow. His ardent gaze at that means of his success made Draupadi sulk...looks like it is his first love..she muttered under her breath.
. With a deft twist of his left hand..he caught the shaft of the bow in the middle, lifted it with a graceful movement,transferred it to his right hand,took the string and started tying it with expert skill. Drisht widened his eyes..the Brahmin is left handed.
Arjun held the bow above. Nothing mattered to him now. The weapon he loved the most is in his hands and his imagination could see the whirling target even better than his eyes could.
Dhrisht stood spellbound observing the way he held the bow with ease. The weight of the bow did not make a difference to the Brahmin youth since he just found the perfect place to hold it and his grip on the bow is so light yet strong. Dhrisht thought and wondered at his confidence.
Arjun is concentration and focus personified. He brought the bow under his control and tied the string perfectly without using much pressure on it.
Every one caught his breath. Draupadi admired the dignity and confidence with which he had walked to the pool . Fascinated by the light shining in his magnetic eyes ,she was waiting breathlessly for the outcome.
Arjun stepped to the pool with a firm step looked at the target's reflection in the pool,drew the taut catgut string back to his left ear and offering mute homage to Sankar Shiv , Guru Dron and Krishna shot the arrow. The assembly gasped. The arrow sped ,caught the whirling fish in the eye and cut it away from the revolving disc with neat precision.The fish fell in water with a splash.
Thunderous applause broke the silence ...with the sounds of victory band and words of praise..dominating everything else.
Shiv told Sakti.. He became Vijaya..Uma now onwards he will be synonymous with it .
Uma smiled in appreciation and raised her hand in blessing. Yes he is Vijaya..she reinstated.
Indra is too proud on seeing his son triumph and declared continuous celebrations in heaven. He ordered the apsaras to shower flowers on his son without break.
Pandu sighed with relief. He told Santanu. I wanted my son to be the personification of true valour.He fulfilled my dream. I can rest assured now.. My third son will protect the Pandavas and restore them prosperity and kingdom..My happiness crossed all limits.
Santanu nodded his head and said." My son Deva vrat Bheeshma will feel proud of his grandson.Arjun uplifted Kuru honour among the kings of Aryavarth.Truly your son achieved such a great feat.
Yudhishtir got up and left the arena taking Nakul Sahadev with him.He told Bheem to stay with Arjun.
The Brahmin group got up and hailed Jishnu.He made them proud by his extraordinary feat.
Karna's face became pale while Duryothan gritted his teeth. Sakuni is thinking fast reg the further action.
Balaram had never seen Krishna in such happy state. He asked him" why are you rejoicing so much? Who is this Brahmin?
Krishna answered with a glint of pride in his eyes." Arjun..Kunti Bua's third son."
