Almost all theories trace back to Lord Vishnu being the head of all, the supreme One from whom all arose. Other than Devi Purana and Shiva Mahapurana and a few others, most support the theory of Lord Vishnu being the first formation of creation. That is a misnomer, for He is Parabramhan, and it is from Him that Creation arose.

It all began when Pralayam happened. Everything dissolved. Everything, except the elements. And hence why the elements are eternal. MahaVishnu arose from a banyan leaf, creating all the elements fully, and the Gods and Goddesses. He is the Creator. He is Brahma and Vishnu. He is the Devas. He is.

Hope this helped.

thanks a lot dear.

then who created Shiva when is supposed to be swayambhu himself?

what about bramha being born out of the navel of supreme god and creating the world?

did brahma create saraswati too? or she was born out of sagar manthan like lakshmi maa?

what about sati maa? she was daughter of daksha. but what was the story of her origin?

but this gives rise to more questions than answers. (or i am a chronic complainer).

Krishna came first? but he is avatar of lord vishnu😕.
vishnu is swayambhu (self created as per some legends)
so is shiva.

how could Shiva; the lord who has got mention in vedic era and got his idols worshiped by prevedic people be born after krishna who is quite a later avatar of vishnu?

why is there confusion between maa parvati and maa lakshmi as the original aadi shakti?

I am not sure about the Krishna and Kali part too dear...
But Adi shakthi according to this purana is the originator of the whole universe...she is the supreme being and both Lakshmi and parvathi are a part of her..so that's why both are referred by that name.

Maa lakshmi isn't referred as Adi Shakti. She's the consort of Vishnu and Mother Nature. Only Parvati is believed as Shiv's Shakti and the complete source of the Universe 's energy!

thank you.

she is also referred as sritama. or sri. hence got little confused.

so durga ma is shakti/shiva's consort?
not amalgamation of energies of trinity?

Lord Shiva was created by Lord Vishnu in almost all puranas. Some say that Lord Shiva is the One who creates. It depends on your source and belief.
Irrespective of the Purana, Lord Brahma is born from the Lotus arising from the navel of MahaVishnu.
Maa Saraswati was created by Lord Brahma to help Him with spreading knowledge to the world.
Sati Ma is Adi Shakti reborn.

Sri means prosperous also. It is an epithet of prosperity and good fortune.

Durga Ma is Lord Shiva's consort, but she is an amalgamation of the Trinities powers. That is because they all gave Her some of their powers when Maa Parvati had to go to fight Mahishasur.

that's why shivaites are dismissive towards puranas. humm!

Adi shakti is only shiva's consort then. a singular all powerful goddess.

and saraswati maa is brahma's creation.
thank you.

why only durga ma? why not maa lakshmi?

but now my doubts are cleared. if she is aadi shakti then she would be the chosen one to slay the demon.
but she created the trinity.

That is probably why.
She is. She is called Narayani, as She is Lord Narayana's sister.

Always. Please do post your questions. We will help as much as we can 😳

Tha, in most sources I have read, Lord Shiva is referred to as the Destroyer, while Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu are the Creator, and Presever, though Ultimately MahaVishnu is all. I am rather interested in the Lord Shiva as the Creator theory, though, could you link me up?
