It is generally believed that MB events occured almost 5100 years ago. So it is not necesaary that either yudhi or vyasa must have changed it. Brahmanical & Vaishnava thoughts are certainly not very old compared to the age in which MB happened. It is possible that most editing was done during early years of these changes & the editing was done to propagate views of particular groups. And for those changes to sustain, Karna was an obstacle & Draupadi also upto some extent, is what I believe. Had yudhi been an editor, he would never have forgotten at least the name of Dury's wife (not in a bad sense, but she was a queen after all. So he would have had that minimum respect for her...)Originally posted by: Urmila11
As for the history change theory, I would like to remind you all that Vyas Dev was still alive after war, so why would he allow someone to edit his work? At least Pandavas did not change it. They died before Vyas.
Also, what was Krishna doing if Pandavas 'changed' it? He would have stopped them from doing so.
And I'm 100% sure that if Yudhi had indeed edited the story then he would have glorified Karna even more. And there would have been no dice game in the story.
