Love all of the analyses! Yes! Yudi inded had a great strength of mind to have dealt with both of these adverse situations!

Well, Yaksha quest is so tempting for me 😳 so here are more. Enjoy reading his great answers. I will explain each answer later, let me study a bit more on this.

Yaksha: "What is shame?"
Yudhishtira: "Withdrawing from doing bad deeds is shame"

Yaksha: "Oh King, what is wisdom?"
Yudhishtira: "Understanding the true nature of Tatva (Reality)"

Yaksha: "What is compassion?"
Yudhishtira:"Compassion is wishing for the happiness of all"

Yaksha: "Who is the invincible enemy of man?"
Yudhishtira: "Anger is the invincible (difficult) enemy of man"

Yaksha: "Which is the incurable disease of man?"
Yudhishtira: "Greed is the incurable disease of man"

Yaksha: ''Who is pious?"
Yudhishtira: "One who is concerned with the welfare of all being"

Yaksha: ''Who is not pious?
Yudhishtira: "One who is cruel"

Yaksha: "Oh King, what is delusion?"
Yudhishtira:"Fanatism is delusion" (dharmamoodhat tuam)

Yaksha: "What is laziness?"
Yudhishtira: "Inactivity in one's own duty (dharma)"

Yaksha: "What is sorrow?"
Yudhishtira: "Ignorance is sorrow"

Yaksha: "What is courage?"
Yudhishtira: "Control over the senses"

Yaksha: "What is steadfastness?"
Yudhishtira: "To abide by one's own dharma, duty"

Yaksha: "What is bathing?"
Yudhishtira: "To cleanse the mind of its dirt"

Yaksha: "What is charity?"
Yudhishtira: "Protecting all beings is charity."

Thanks for this Urmila

Actually after reading MB i view Yudi as more of a pragmatic character than an idealistic one though he is generally portrayed as an idealistic. And these answers from him just reaffirm my view

I mean most of the controversial incidents except of DS that yudi is involved in i can see more of yudi's realistic approach towards things rather than emotional or idealistic ones

His conversation with Bhima during lakshagarah when he explains to Bhima why they must stay is not only intelligent but also realistic and not emotional

Then again his decision regarding burning of Nishada though is wrong and even i do criticize him but its a more realistic approach towards saving his own family

Then again his final decision that Drau should marry all 5 brother's yes he took this decision after Arjuna refused but he also took this decision because he knew all brother's were in love with Drau and for the sake of their unity he took this decision.Again i see more realism here than idealism .He took a decision that may not be ideal but best for his family given the situation

Then again him asking Drau to leave the sabha during Kechaka vadha parva is more realistic approach then anything since he feared that their cover will get blown and that will led to even more problems. He wasn't being emotional here but realistic.Though i understand Drau's POV as well

Then again not wanting war and wanting to handle things in a peaceful way for me yudi here is not being a pacifist but being realistic since he knew the destruction the war would cause he knew that war can never bring good results hence wanted peace.Again he wasn't emotional about justice but more realistic about the consequences

Again his telling shalya to play mind games with karna is intelligent and a more pragmatic approach towards weakening karna

I would really like if some day Yudi is portrayed as he was rather than a boring idealistic person which i don't think he was

i just started watching the show. it is a really innovative and refreshing show. it would have been better if it was telecasted on some renowned channel and better star cast. till now watched only 2 episodes but its much better at story than starbharat. liked draupadi and shakuni episode. reminded me of a play which was on a court trial against narsimha for hiranyakashyap vadh.

Hello,

I am a huge fan of this show but sadly cannot always catch it on TV. Can someone give me a download link for Dharamkshetra? At least online viewing link?? Epic seems hell bent on torturing its viewers by not providing it on youtube!
