Though if the two shares the bong like Sisters she even can call her Didi (Like our Mayuri😉) So it all depends upon which type of bond we do share, Otherwise Bhabhi is the general term :)

Oh okay, so Bhabhi is the term for both the younger brother and his wife.😊 What is the literal translation of "Bhabhi"? I mean, what is its origin? It's also used in both RS Ramayan and AS Ramayan, so is it an olden day term?
Btw, does an older sister of a brother also call the younger brother's wife 'Bhabhi'?Confused I don't think so right? I was confused because in IPKKND, Anjali calls Khushi 'Bhabhi' but she's Arnav's elder sister, so I was confused!

Bhabhi in General means "Brother's Wife" It is opposite to Bhaiya just like Mumma is opposite to papa 😆 No matter the Brother is elder or Younger his wife is termed as bhabhi! In older times Sisters use to call the wives of their brothers as Bhabhi no matter how younger they are from them though now a days it starts seeming so formal to people to be called Bhabhi by Elder sisters and Brothers so they start taking their names instead of calling Bhabhi! So yeah, Khushi was the Bhabhi of Anjali in general though being elder than Arnav Anjali calls her by name! Got it now? 😉
And yeah, the Term "Bhabhi" is used by people since Eons...may be since when People are using the term "Bhaiya" 😉😆
What is it called at your Side?

Okay, thanks for clarifying.😆 So in the olden days (*cough* like my story *cough*), what would the elder brother address his younger brother's wife? Calling her Bhabhi sounds a bit strange to me, dunno why...maybe because I've never heard Ram calling Urmila 'Bhabhi' in any show.😕😆 Was there another term? Even if they shared an informal relationship, was it considered appropriate to call the younger brother's wife by her name?

Naah, No another term! Either Bhabhi or Name 😉😆 But I guess Name will be more appropraite for Brothers even at the Time of your Story...Bhabhi is generally addressed by the sisters. In your Story the Elder one shares a bond like Father with his Yourger Brother 😉 So it will be more genuine for him to address his wife with her name! You can even replace "jija" with the name since he is Elder 😉😆 But well Jija also sounds good😆😆
Btw, Are you writing it further? 😛

That's what I thought...the elder brother is like the father so it sounds odd when he addresses his younger brother's wife as Bhabhi.😆 Is there any term like 'sister' perhaps? Like Behen or Behna or something? Which one is more correct?Confused
I will be writing soon, perhaps on the train to college today.😉 Btw, what is the olden day term used for the wife's elder brother?
