So tell us more, guys! Any particular songs, scenes, or dialogues that are of special importance to you, either for making you laugh, cry, or teaching you a lesson you'll never forget?
You have already mentioned one of my favourite dialogues - Lakshman's 'aap aankhen band kar lijiye...'. It was great. 😆 Actually I didn't notice that scene much in the original run as I was a kid and the real essence of these scenes didn't sink in.
It's only when I saw them on VHS and later on Sony TV (in 1998 or so) that I really started appreciating each and every little dialogue and moment.
Some of my favourites are...
1. When Lakshman and the other rishis build the kutia at Chitrakoot, there is one moment where someone places a bundle of logs on Lakshman's shoulder. At that moment Ram gives a little smile and Lakshman smiles back. This is that moment.
2. During the fight with Indrajit, Lakshman is about to use the Brahmastra and Ram tells Lakshman 'adharm dwara prapt ki hui vijay kabhi kalyankari nahin hoti hai'. Excellent. 👏
3. I loved how Ram redirected Shurpanakha to Lakshman and when Shurpanakha asked 'akela hai?', Ram gives a naughty smile and says 'haan, vann mein to akela hi hai'.😆
Then she goes to Lakshman and says 'Lakshmanji aap akele ho'...to which Lakshman says 'aapko kya kasht hai'.🤣
4. When Hanuman goes to bring the Sanjivani, the herbs on the hill suddenly vanish. At that time Hanuman explains to the devas there...'He divya aushadhiyon ke sanrakshak devtaon...'...I loved how he explained his purpose, no beating around the bush, no buttering...crisp and to the point. Teaches us a good lesson on attending interviews. (Surprisingly that part is missing from Sandeepvera's youtube channel - Episode 69-02)
Will add more as and when I remember.
