Happy 25th Anniversary of RS's Ramayan everyone! 🥳

It's such a great achievement to still be recognized as a milestone of Indian Television, 25 whole years after being first broadcast! To be honest I'm not as familiar with this version of Ramayan as most people here. I actually grew up watching Mahabharat, since it was shown on British TV.

My first memory of this epic show would have to be when I was around 4-5...my parents used to borrow the video collection, and for some reason I decided to join them in watching the video one day. The first scene I saw was Sita ma throwing her jewellery out of Ravaan's pushpak so that Ram would know which direction he had taken her. That's all it took for me to diligently watch the show! Actually I even got into a spot of trouble with my Mum, when she caught me trying to throw her jewellery out of the bedroom window! 😆

Happy 25th Anniversary everyone...🤗

'm younger than RSR... . but i remember watching it (re- run of course) as kid...

dancing with joy when Ramji breaks the Shiv Dhanush...the Sita-Ram swayambar n vivah😍... n Ayodhya return after 14 yrs..🥳

n bursting into tears when Ram-Sita-Lakshman head for Vanvas...Dasarath's death...Sita haran...n esp. whn Sitaji goes back to mother Earth...😭

i used to stop all my works.. even eating n run to catch the show...😆

All credit to my attatchment towards historical- mytho series goes to RSR...

no wonder Ramayan is my fav. series ...

n abt. cast n crew... wat do i say...the perfect ever cast n crew... culdnt hav asked for better...👏

i wuld really like to thank Ramanand Sagarji for making Ramayan... that has i believe taught evry1 to love, care n basically be good frm their heart...

ooohhh my 25 years now...

We didn't had Indian telly at that time...but rented our movies...the day my parents brought the video off first few epi's...we were cursing our fates...cause we had seen it all (you name it: Tulsidas, hare hare Mahadev, Gopal Krishna etc etc) and not once but a hundred times...

But what could we do (yep at that time a strike wasn't an option) so we joined our parents watching Ramayan...and by the end off the video's we were hooked...

Gosh I fell in love with AG as Ram and even today nobody can beat him...

so a big thank you to RS and team...

i used to watch iin childhood at age 5 , i didn't understand much of ramayan then now I do. i always remember ramayan, whenever raskakh (demon) come i used to get scared. when RAM and Laskman killed demon I used to feel relieved. laskman played by sunil lahiri he is my favorite . miss those days.

congrats for the 25th anniversary of Ramayan !!👏 it is a beautiful epic and i am always so grateful to ramanand sagar ji that he cast sunil ji as laxman ! he is no doubt the best in the show, in fact he is laxman for me ..😳

Thanks for all the information about Ramayan,I didn't know anything about it..I haven't watched this serial on the TV,I am just 21..but I have watched other shows of Ramanand Sagar like Shri Krishna,Mahabharatha,,Jai Hanuman...And even now if ever I get to hear its title song I can see some amazing flash backs..I just used to love watching these episodes along with my family..I remember how we used to wait for these episodes..❤️
