That's actually a good comparison, but I actually admire Vibhishan, while have a rich disdain for the likes of Bheeshma, who could have still been true to the spirit of his vow to Satyavati's father by supporting the Pandavas, who too were her descendants. Drona, Karna & Shalya I understand - Drona was indebted to Dhritarashtra, and Karna & Shalya to Duryodhan. But despite understanding where they were coming from, I still don't like or admire any of them.

Since they knew that they were fighting in the cause of adharma, they should have gotten themselves downed on day 1 itself, instead of massacring thousands of soldiers every day. They'd have fulfilled their debts, w/o doing damage to the cause of dharam. If you notice, 90% of the major warriors on the Pandava side were killed by either Drona or Ashwatthama: if Drona had been killed on day 1 by Dhriistadyumna, that would have spared most of them. Karna could have joined on day 2 and gotten killed. Within 5 days, that war could have been over w/ a more decisive Pandava victory, w/ far fewer causalities.

Yes. Vrish. Even I never have fallen to adore Bheeshma, Drona and Karna at any of the war episodes. Nice to see someone who shares the same attitude of mine. However since I have heard majority of them portraying the above three as symbols of Dharma, I thought my thoughts were wrong..!😉

Here are some of the things that were discussed about Kalki Avatar. Actually, much later, in that same thread, I believe there is more, but one would have to look for it. You can see that, and towards the latter part of that thread, there is more.

The latter question I too wondered and asked. It's an interesting one, and question arises as to whether Padma passes on and Ramaa replaces her as his wife. It's not totally clear that Kalki will commit polygyny.

Panchamukhi Hanuman - I once read somewhere that while rescuing Rama & Lakshman from Hanuman, 5 candles in 5 different directions had to be simultaneously blown off, and so Hanuman took that form and blew them off.

Regarding Kalki, I'm still searching for more info.

As for Panchamukha Hanuman, adding to what Vrish had posted,

Mahiravan had snatched away Ram and Lakshman from Hanuman's tail fortress (sorry, using this for the lack of a better name) to Patala. To kill Mahiravan, one must extinguish 5 lamps kept in 5 directions - North, East, West, South and the last one above (upwards - some say its North East) simultaneously. Thus, Hanuman took his Panchamukha form with 5 faces facing each of the lamps - Hanuman facing East, Narashimha facing South, Garuda facing West, Varaha facing North and Hayagriva facing upwards or North East and extinguished all the lamps simultaneously. Mahiravan was killed instantly.

I wondered why all 5 weren't Hanuman's faces itself instead of being avatars of Lord Vishnu - probably Hanuman took ideas from His Lord's avatars - except the East facing one, the other 4 are faces of one of Lord Vishnu's avatars.

As for the significance of the 5 faces, there are too many interpretations. Every now and then I keep hearing a new explanation.

I don't know if any of the Hindu scriptures mention Panchamukha Hanuman. Does anyone know?

If Shree RAM CHOPPED OFF Shumbhaka's head because he chanted vedas being a SHUDRA Why did Shree Ram did not chop off the head of Rishi Jabali who was not a brahmin but still studied the sacred vedasWhy did Shree Raam not chop of the head of Rishi Agasthya who was a DHOBHI or Shudra by caste.
