sita ma prays to shiv ji that she sees shri ram soon, and ramji at ayodhya finds out that even hanuman ji has been tied up !! he gets very angry and takes the blessings of his mother to win over the children and get the ashvamedh horse back! valmiki ji gets anxious that what he has been waiting for is about to happen.

Most welcome for the pics guys, can't wait to see what y'all do with them!

And Minu and Janu, thanks for the new stuff... verrryyy awesome and siggyable! In fact already did something with the Kaikeyi Manthara ones, will post tonight ;) Really eager to work with the pics of Sita Maa praying at the Shivling as well, Debina looks really sincere and devoted in that scene ❤️

Minu, the pic you pointed out is really something, couldn't have said it better myself... there's like fire in her eyes 😳 I think it really helps being a classical dancer like she and Paullomi were, because you have to say a lot through your expressions in both Kathak and BN so they had the practice. This is a perfect example of that, you get the feel of the whole scene without even hearing her speak 👏 Also really like this pic for the same reason, in this one expression you get the sense of how confused she is and how she's kind of getting dragged into it rather than of her own will... there's a dazed and blank look about her that says it all:

but wow, this pic is so expressive !!!! it almost makes me shiver!😲 if luks can kill ...

Haha, you're right about that, hun. The Manthara of old Ramayan was more subtle and less ingratiating, and she did not appear to ruin every sweet scene between Ram and Kaikeyi.😡😆 And Padma Khanna was amazing during Ayodhya, she definitely took the limelight out of the three Rajmatas in this episode and the following ones throughout Bharat Milaap.👏
Thanks a lot for the AS Uttarkand pics, btw, I really loved this scene a lot in new Ramayan.👏 Both Gurmeet and Debina did so well portraying the conflict of their feelings, and even the kids who played LuvKush were good, I liked their cute voices the best. Will have to add the RS counterpart of this scene to the list, both Ramayans filmed them sooo good! They were really addicting to watch!😍

Oooh, can't wait to see the sig(s), Lola!😛 I'm definitely preparing a bunch of sigs as well from the recent pic updates Mina, you, and I posted. My next update will probably be a Ramayan-only one for the mytho section.😆 First, watching the Ayodhya Kand while clicking pics has got me obsessed with RSR all over again, and the recent track of SK got me really bored and frustrated that I'm feeling in a Ram mood right now.🥱 No offense meant to the God Shri Krishna of course, but I've gotta watch some beginning sigs to rejuvinate my SK obsession.
That pic you posted of Padma is really amazing too, I just love her expressions throughout the episode. It doesn't seem so unbelievable that she could have changed overnight. Some commenters on youtube (who were prob not familiar with the epic to begin with) said they found it unbelievable that such an affectionate lady could have changed in a few hours, and that it must be something serial made up. But truly, Padma's acting doesn't make it seem so unbelievable, does it, even for someone who's not familiar with the story?

Now you know what I meant when I said "it's all downhill from here", and why I insist on not watching anything from the latter half of the show (everything after Sudama, IMO)... it's crazy that they used the same name and opening song for the serial after that point, because it really isn't the same show at all Anyway bright side, yay for RSR obsession, and if anything can do it it's Ayodhya Kand where all of them are so pitch perfect in their roles and the dialogues are each more powerful than the last 👏 We should talk about the scenes you're catching at either the Ramayan diary thread or Vis's favorite scenes chat thread, how about that 😛 Esp the Kaikeyi-Dashrath exchange, a lot of discussion material there to ponder over amongst ourselves. And to rekindle the SK fire, watch the original versions of the early epis courtesy of this guy: http://www.youtube.com/user/vikaran2hot
Esp the pre-Janmashtami stuff 😛

Ya totally agree... every now and then she puts on an expression like that, which tells you the old Kaikeyi is still somewhere in there wondering what the heck has taken her over. Namely this expression, and then when Ram accepts his vanvaas with a smile and asks her if that's really all that was bothering his dad, 'such a petty thing'... and the way she is totally taken aback and you hear that disbelief in her voice... like what am I doing again? It's really awesome, the quick fleeting transitions that she's capable of which make the character so multidimensional and interesting. Next up in the Dashrath scene, Bal Dhuri proves to be just as gifted at that when he goes from shock to trying sweetness and logic, to anger, to grief... it's amazing 👏

I committed the mistake once of criticizing ASR without watching most of it, and I don't want to make the same mistake with SK since some of the scenes are kind of cute. It's true that you really do have to watch any show or movie completely before forming judgments on it, and I don't want to say I dislike the latter phase of SK without watching all of it. Btw, there's this other scene that disturbed me before Krishna's hypocritical line about a mother's right...it was during Pradyumna's Haran, when Sambarasur broke into Dwaraka's Rajmahal under the guise of Satybhama. When he (as Satyabhama) took Pradyumna out of Rukmini's chamber, the baby started crying and Balaram happened to be near. He gave Satyabhama a condescending smile and told her to return the baby to Rukmini. When Sambarasur (as Satybhama) did so because he had no other choice, Balram told him/her that it was not right for Satyabhama to take the baby away from its mother, because only a true mother can comfort him and someone who is not a mother, like her, cannot understand its pain and she shouldn't meddle with Rukmini's child. I found that line extremely rude, because it not only insulted Satyabhama that she was not yet a mother in the 'true sense', but it also made it unbelievable that the re-incarnation of Lakshman, who treated all three of his mothers equally, could make such a hurtful distinction between Rukmini and Satyabhama...of course, I doubt the real Balaram would have said something like that, but I felt like slapping the actor when he said that.
Ewww barf 🤢 The more I'm hearing the less I'm regretting not watching that far... since I haven't, I don't even know who this Shabarasur dude is, but I'd guess they were trying to subtly imply that Balram knew this person is not Satyabhama and not the baby's mom in any sense of the word but an impostor, and that the line was a kind of foreshadowing nod towards that... kind of like my reasoning behind that Maya Mrig line I hate about skinning the deer... but in either case I think it's so easy to misunderstand that even if it's in the texts somewhere, it's worth skipping 🤔 The RS half is a perfect show with rare weak moments if any, and the rest is a weak show with rare nice moments... and even though they're there and they're enough to keep you tuned in, I can't bring myself to watch them cuz I keep thinking of how the original left off at its absolute peak with Swapnil, Sanjeev, and Pramod discussing Dwarika and the start of this really cool political phase... and wondering how it would've been if it continued... sigh 😍 So yeah, nothing that follows lives upto the promise of those epis, so for me, I can't watch that part objectively.
Yeah, I wish they had divided the serial into two parts...the sole RS-directed part and the latter fluff which lost the magic of the original epis.
Exactly, and including in the first part every little bit that they had shot instead of those shoddy edits 🤢
😛 Sure, that sounds like a great idea. I'm just going to wait for my results which will be posted tomorrow, and judging from my mood on IF, you guys will know whether I did good or not.😕😆
Alrighty see you in that thread after then... good luck ⭐️
That, and the Akrur scenes I'm getting to in my diary thread. I just love those epis!

Sameee!!! The whole Mathura Aagaman is magic, everything from Akrur's vision to that gardener who puts the maala on him to the VD moment to Kubja... it's perfection 😍
I know, Padma Khanna really makes us like the character of Kaikeyi even after the change, and that's rare because sometimes we find our emotional side getting angry at her for exiling Ram during such a happy, peaceful time. I love all her expressions during Ayodhya Kand, especially after Bharat finds out what she did and disowns her. You can really see the remorse and regret in her expressions.😭
Yeah, true that... on a sorta related note, whenever I see the Ayodhyavaasis react to her remorse with sincere compassion during the journey to Chitrakoot, I always wonder what the heck happened to these kind-hearted people later on 😕 Anyways can't wait for the next installment of the pic update!

^^ Thanks for the listing of safe epis, actually I haven't even seen the whole Tulabharam track - all I remember is the bit with Narad saying "he's my slave now, muahahaha" and some talk about making chutney... funny stuff 😆 So, if I ever get over the whole "what this could have been" feeling, will def check those out!

And Yogmaya theory's a solid one, me likey... it's cases like these where it helps to believe that God was aware and in charge the whole time, for peace of mind :P Good thinking!!!

And... since we're trying to reminisce about classic SK epis, let me whip out a pic update 😛
