Oops I just realised I never introduced myself here
1. Name? Victoria but most people call me Vicky
2. Age? 21 going on 12 đ
3. Any nicknames preferred? Vicky/ Vic/Viks...if I list them all we'll be here all day and half the night!
4. Where are you from? England!!!
5. Occupation? Student
6. Interests? Anything to do with history, mythology...I'm there! At the same time I consider myself to be quite a tech geek so I'm into all things electronic lol. Oh and I love cricket (go India!)
7. Hobbies? Reading, fashion, family, friends, yoga, photoshop, travelling, food, eating out, cooking...did I mention FOOD lol
8. Favourite mythological serials? Why? I like a lot of mythological serials but since you've asked about my fave...it's got to be BRC's Mahabharat. Hands down there has never been another like it in terms of acting quality, sets, dialogue and all around fuzzy feel/spine tingle. I've grown up watching MB and I totally agree with Ved Vyas that "what isn't in the MB isn't anywhere else in the world"...it contains everything so why look elsewhere? TBH I could prolly quote from this serial (that's how bad I have the MB bug lol)
9. Favourite mythological actors? Actresses? Every single actor/actress from BRC's MB (right down to the dasi's and dwaar pal's LOL). I also loved Shwetha and Swapnil as Radha Krishna and also Deepika as Sita (she was spectacular, esp during the uttaar kand and her last scene!).
10. What is your favourite scene from your favourite mythological(s)?
O.K that's a toughy but I'd probably go for Rukmini haran, Draupadi Swaymvar, when Krishna saves Draupadi and when Arjun vows to kill Jayadrath. TBH you could show me any scene (yes even the ones between Dhitrashta and Sanjay) and I'd sit there chup chap and find something to analyse! đ
11. What is the most important lesson these serials have taught you? That "bhawaan ke ghar der hai andher nahin". These serials have shown us two paths...it's up to the individual which one to take, bearing in mind that karma will catch up with you one way or another. And last but not least, to stand up for yourself...Sita and Draupadi didn't take it lying down!
12. What is your favourite song from your favourite mythological?
Without this list going into the 100's lol...all the songs from BRC's MB. The top few being 'Govind Gokul ayo', 'Mohan ke mukh par', 'Vinaati suniye', 'Prem sagaai'.
From Shri Krishna...'Na jaane tose', 'Kampit charan', 'Maharaas'.
From RS Ramayan...'Hum kaatha sunaate...'
WOW ok I wrote waay too much lol! đ
