If China honor's Chang tomorrow on his success, and made him an ambassador, will you have an objection on that too?? He is an Indian too, with Chinese background.

When we can take pride in getting these kinds of honor medals from US and UK, then why not from the place where we our ancestors are from. you are what you are, even after 10 generations, you will be known as an Indian and not an American or Japanese.

So I dont think there is any harm in him accepting that. his forefathers were from Nepal, he should be proud to be taking this honor.

I have read Chang's views on China so I know Chang would never accept to be China's ambassador.😛 Chang is an Indian and so is Prashant.

Any honor is acceptable. But as Priya said I won't ask my neighbor to promote my house when he has a house too.

according to some here, Prashant won coz of the huge Nepali fan following. He got this title coz of them, why cant he pay bak??

Duniya main problems kam hain that we also argue on whether a person can take a Ambassador title or not. we need peace in the world, doesn't matter woh kahan saye bhi aaye.

agar kuch help karta hai kahi tu iss main bura kya hai?? Indian population will do what they did to Sandeep and Abhijeet. ya tu u see that he gets what he deserve in India. ppl stop looking at him as a "Nepali" or that other "g" word and take him as a singer of India. tab tu baat banti hai. jo response uss keh Idol banye per tha, uss saye its clear that his future is not that bright in India. then why shouldn't he go where his future is bright, and ppl will not ignore him.

its a give and take thing. both Amit and Prashant were symbol of brotherhood and unity and peace. what did Indian gov gave them for that?? they brought ppl together, what did they get in response??

now if Nepali gov is honoring him tu iss main bura kya hai?

Because all those Nepalis were Indians. Most photos which were posted on this forum showing people voting for Prashant were of Indian-Nepalis, people of North-East. So why should he go and repay Nepal?😕

Prashant should be ambassador of peace between two countries and use Indian Idol title for to promote that. That is what is my point, if anyone still have any confusion.

We are not on IF for promoting world peace alone. We can share and exchange many views here as long as we discuss without getting personal.😛

Waise I am all for Prashant being peace ambassador between two countries. Abhi Darjeeling mein logon ne kitna thod-phod kiya. At least people will get some sense that way😊

yes tu uss keh liye both govs should come together and make a decision na. if Nepali gov decides on its own. then uss peh bhi problem hogi, that zabardasti rishtadari barha rahye hain. Indian Gov should take a step too na. and they should not only award Prashant but also Amit. coz they both did same stuff.

I read somewhere that many Nepali's moved to Darjaling and other places during this period, to vote for him!!! Just like, I am thinking of moving somewhere, so I can vote for Amanat!!! 😃 ( I dont trust the online voting stuff)

India - Nepal have a special relationship which is historical in nature.

BTW, why do we get excited about Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams, Indira Nooyi..or anyone remotely of Indian ethnicity and if tomorrow for example we make Sunita Williams brand ambassador of India, should Americans get offended?
