None of the six has any real training in classical music and that's what makes Chang a little apprehensive about a future in music. "I don't know whether I would be able to do justice to original compositions." Agrees Prashant who works with Calcutta Police, "That's why I still can't say singing could be my primary profession."

i know this interview is a little old, but it made me think about the point of this show when some top contestants seem apprehensive about committing to a career in music. makes me wonder what we're voting for. would you be okay with the winner of II3 not pursuing a career in music?

note: this topic isn't to bash certain contestants so please don't start on that, it's to see what others think of this.

well it shudnt make any diff wether they r trained or not as long as they can sing well....
as 4 them makin a career in mizic ... after a platform like this im sure at least the top 5-6 will def pursue a career in music... the amt of xposure theve got can keep them goin 4 yrs (doin stage shows atleast )...very few of them will make it as playback singers... amit deepali puj emon smita def...(b it hindi or any regional lang n prashant i hear has been offered a nepali film song by uditji)
so i dont think most of them r goin to give up soon... may b later on if they dont get opportunities
