The petition is just a view of member(s), member had only voiced his opinion in that petition, and this forum is open for members to voice their opinion.

Now if i close this , those who doesnt like Ankita would say Mods like Ankita thats why locked it.

And if i dont close it all Ankita fans will say Mods are against Ankita thats why they didnt close it.

In anyhow both sides will only bring us in the middle, and we cannot take a decision favoring any one side.

Do you guys think it would make any difference to the votes that come in?

Eliminations happen only based on votes not on petitions.

The petition is same as a post opening on the forum and criticising Ankita.

The same way members reply to the posts on forum, they are replying to the petition.

We allow members view on the forum on Indian Idol, thats why this thread is allowed coz its also members view on the shows/contestant.

And as for making this a sticky, it was made sticky only for a day on request of the author for easy location as we did it in the past.

In the past if we had not done it for others we wouldnt have done for this one as well.

Ankita fans got hurt that it was made sticky, therefore it was removed.

But by saying that we cant stop members from voicing their opinion as well.

Request to everyone in this thread, please do not argue debate here, no more issues on whether this should be opened or locked as i have discussed with others and given my reasons above.

Same way this thread says that Ankita doesnt deserve to be the Idol, members who think she deserves to be the Idol can have a seperate topic on her and discuss it.

Make sense. No problems. I don't think it will make any difference but just wish that such things aren't allowed the same way as contestant bashing. Sorry to see so much contestant bashing whether it is towards Ankita or Emon or Amit or Prashant. They all are good.
