I think both sets are good in their own way. The combination of the hot and hotter 😉 Vishal Shekar, the placid Bappi Da, the new found friends of HR and ID, playing dual role of mentors of their gharanas and as Judges of the performances has its own advantage as the singers/ contestants benefit from the personal attention given during training.

In II, the Judges are purely Judges, with no mentoring required, except giving tips during the performances... You have jaaved saab, being quiet and reserved, quietly supportive, Alisha making up for Javed Saab in terms of loud comments and costumes, Anu Malik trying to balance the non musical comments of Alisha with sharp hawk eye on the sur, taal and ley... and Udit Narayan bringing up the consolation factor, being kind, positive and encouraging...

As a team, they are equally placed

well....the judges i dont really care for...i dont really listen to their comments...and if i do...they make no difference to me...i just enjoy them and sumtimes laff at them...

javed saab is really very biased with comments, alisha is too sugar coated, anu malik is just full of ego and wants to prove hes the best.....lately udit ji has been neutral....but his comments arent really worth anything....he doesnt elaborate on them...

in srgmp...himesh ko toh bas bolne ka mauka chahiye...no different than anu malik....ismial darbar goes the emotional way and likes to talk about wat the contestants are doing and stuff more than wat they performed....bappida just says u were, but cud have been better.....hes another udit jee....

the onli judges whoes comments i listen to, and actually wait to listen to are vishal and shekhar's......more so vishal's.....he always gives the right judgement....and tells where one is going rong....and wat they can do improved....shekhar is more sugar coated and likes to be encouraging than taking out the flaws....vishal is good at that...

but recently their comments/marks for mauli are not upto the mark 😆

so overall.....i dont really care about any of the judges comments....except vishal's and sumtimes shekhar's....

how i wish sonuji was styl in ii...he wud've taken the cake!!

lol that comment was writtin on july second, long time ago when there were more fights on srgmp than indian idol...times have changes, opinions have changed...

Well the SRGMP judges are also mentors for some of the kids, so their bias for their own kids is obviously there. But that means that usually every kid has at least one mentor rooting for them. Here, the judges seem to have three or four favourites, the others get a bit of a raw deal. 😕

As far as judgement is concerned, both lot are a bit inconsistent. Sometimes they say too much, sometimes the comments make zero sense, but sometimes they are very discerning, in short they are confusing. 😕 Now II judges have started fighting in earnest as well, so no difference. 😆

i love shekhar n i like vishal and i have actually chnged my opinion about himesh..i dont hate him as much! 😃 ii3 judges r useless i dotn liek any of dem
