Do Judges Keep Their Promises?

Hi guys! I was just reading about what Amey Date has been up to on the Indian Idol website and I was a little shocked to read this. I'm pasting part of his interview here...

Anu Malik offered you a chance to sing...
No, that didn't happen. And I doubt it will. There are too many singers around, and I don't believe in being dependent on anyone. If I've to struggle a little more for success, so be it.

So my question to you all is, do you think judges (not only on Indian Idol, but reality shows in general) keep their promises to contestants? To tell you the truth, I'm a little disappointed Anu Malik didn't keep his word...Poor Amey...but at least he doesn't dwell on the unkept promise and is moving on

Yes very true but Antara got to sing playback song but not sure if it was anu's choice or her real talent

On SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2007, Vishal and Shekhar got Saberi to sign a contract live on TV to sing in their next composition and they are the ones who are going to be training her and working with her as she is a good singer.

Yes, these music directors are here looking for talent who are versatile and can sing different kinds of songs, so some of them keep their promises. Even if anyone gets voted out, these music directors will pick them up for singing in their compositions as they probably see some talent in them.

well i think da music directors who judge these shows seem to view both those roles in isolation....they judge cuz they r paid to do so not cuz they genuinely r lookin for newcommmers....so i believe they seldom keep up their promises. i contestants shudn't even beleive them untill its done on paper

True..
Even if they keep the promise, the promised song could turn out to be a multi singer song with four or five other singers.

Well some judges do and some dont.

Farah Khan kept her promise, she has Rahul Saxena of II1 singing in her movie. It took her some time but she didnt forget him.

No matter what people say about Himesh but he made Vineet from SRGMP. He took him in shows and promoted him big time.

Unfortunatelly Anu Malik made a promise which we all know about but we also know what happened to it too. SHame on Anu Malik if he didnt want to give any songs than he shouldnt have opened his big mouth and made a promise . Amey didnt come to him looking for work. 👎🏼
