By the way I am Alisha not Udit. Also I am talking about contemporary songs and not singers of olden times. I am also saying that personality and singing go hand in hand not saying that singing is not important. All of today's famous singers are known for their singing and personality. Mika Singh is a great singer but not liked because of him creating controversies with Rakhi Sawant. I like his song Dil me baji Guitar, but not him as a person. No wonder y he is not successful.

Oh my apologies. Last time i checked Mohd Rafi was famous in India, Manna Dey is still a legend, Lataji is still considered the nightingale of India, Ashaji is still famous so all these famous singers are known for their singing not personality ok.

I am not ignoreing any points i tried to answere most of them ok.

I totally agree with udit ji. Personality is whats important in this type of competition along with singing. Even if you consider dance competition's like Jhalak Dikhlaja a person who had the personality wins. Mona had the connection with people which Shevta did not have, thus Mona won even though Shevta was a better dancer. Javed ji you think that personality app ko contracts nahi dilti hai magar app ko achi personality logo ka pyar dilati hai. I think for any artist getting love of the audience is very important. And the love of the fans is what keeps the artist going and doing better and better. Anu Malik has given a few hit songs, but he is not popular because people don't like his personality. On the other hand Alisha has not released as many popular songs as Sunidhi, but she has a huge fan following. If you remember in the audition one guy was so happy to meet her. A good personality and good looks help a artist in the long and short run!!!

Also I was talking about contemporary singers when I was talking about personality. Conetemporary means new singers not singers like Asha ji. How many times should I repeat that I think that in todays time singing and personality go hand in hand while in olden days singing was only important. Not many young generation's prefer Asha ji's music over Sunidii or Shreya's. Furthermore who said Asha ji does not have the personality? She is a very good human being and a great singer. When she came to USA for concerts, she did not just sing, she danced, told jokes and interacted with the audience. Both good personality and being a good singer contributes to a singer's success.

Also, your article mentions all olden days singer. They are still known by the older generation, but younger generation prefer people with singing talent, personality and looks. Singers like Himesh Reshamiyaa are now preferred by the younger generations than singer's like Kishore Kumar.

Anisha,or i must call u Udit or Alisha, whatever😉,about your way of thinking of X-factor,i would like to say something.You said that some where, x-factor plays important role in voting.My point here is that x-factor relates to good singers only.It is like that,when you see some one singing really good ,you start to like that person or singer.Same happens here in indian idol.you dont vote on single performance.By the time public votes they already had chosen their idol.So my point here is that this X-factor is developed only because of the singing.And suddenly you like everything about that singer.This is what i think of X-factor.So,my final say on this topic is that everything is related to good singing and x-factor is because of good singing.I hope everybody here will understand what i m trying to say.I just remembered a beautiful song composed by Shree ravindra jain,the great M.D. i respect him very much, is"TU JO MERE SUR MAIN, GUNGUNA LE,SUNG GA LE TO JINDAGI,HO JAAE SAFAL".😊 Happy singing.Jai hind.
