I have been watching SRGM and SRGMP for longest time that I can remember. I have watched FG, and both Indian Idol seasons. To me most important is singing. X factor, performance, looks, stage presence all in important but are no good if they are not singing in sur, taal or lay. SRGMP and II both have had good singers. And I refuse to believe only young viewers watch II. Can't wait to see what type of singers we will see in TOP 24. Looking forward to it though 😃 .

I think thr r more taleneted Singers in SRGMP......but in Indian Idol thr is whole package wid singin...both r same to me! 😳

I know Yeh dil hai ke manta nahi .😛..Now days I myself started thinking like this If you want singing go to SRGMP and if you want everything else but not singing then Idol is there.:) Well I gonna follow both shows because I like singing as well as everything else 😆

well i think now it jus has to b taken this way tht atleast talent has been identified.......II definitely has singing........but they want a singer whu can perform........which am not bothered abt...........am fully 4 singing.......😃

anyways...i agree ajju..indian idol has such average singers...like last season..i think leaving amey n karunya...no one was very good..

II-1 had much much better singers..!
n srgmp is a different class all together..

i am looking forward to Voice of india..i think they'll get some great singers! 😃

same here.......me too completely into singing..........if not 4 exams......i wud have been there auditioning for II-3

...i go for singing talent..but i wud prfer my choice of singer to have good looks too..in simple ..a complete package..with looks..talent everything..

im sure many wud say they dont care abt looks..but only singing matters...but in real we all care for looks..😆

The fact that we as audience made choices, right or wrong, r our bewakoofi , not because there was any dearth of talents ...

I love to watch srgmp but the standard of srgmp emet was very poor barring 2 or 3 couples , even within them sometimes 1 stood out and the other totally failed to impress me !!!

The only uncomparable singer I found in srgmp was Nihira Joshi...others can be compared to Karu, Amey , Antara , Rahul, aditi, Meenal , prajakta , abhijeet ...

where Indian Idol fails ,is, promoting their talents after the show is over...

look at the concert where Himesh took Himani and Vineet for the world tour ..we constantly saw that ad in Zee highlighting Himani and Vineet along with Himesh of course....

but when Sonu Nigam had taken any Idol chahe woh Monali ho ya Meenal on a tour, we didn't see Sony putting up any ad ...it's just that we manage to find the articles or get 1st hand knowledge about them bec some of us have an access to the Idol directly.....

Just look at the li'l champs ...they r given so much footage after the show ( which in their case caused their singing talent going down the tube but that is another story)....

Bottomline ...It's not that Indian Idol has any shortage of talents ( I for sure wouldn't have joined IF and make this section my favorite place if I didn't believe in my Idols )...

But It's the lack of interest on part of the judges or Sony to promote these talents after the contest is over , is the problem....

For that I blame the channel and the judges , not the talents ....

Koeli valid points but still I don't agree II1 and II2 showcased right talent, I mean thats my view and I might be wrong .Sony is good in copying shows from outside but they don't spend much time to make the show real good one.They are always behind quick bucks I mean SRGMP gave us so many singers from Shreya Ghosal to Kunala Ganjawala to Nihira .If someone really talented singer asks me which show he /she should go I will refere him/her to SRGMP ( Himesh is spoiling that shows too now😛 ) but if he/she is little talented with lot of other stuff I will say try Indian Idol who knows you might become Idol if girls and the people from your region support you.

Another thing is India Idol section rocks and guys are really good here and thats why I feel comfortable writing here and not in SRGMP .Its not about young or grownup and when I say SRGMP has better singer than II that doesn't mean our section guys look only for other factors.I personally like Indian Idol but it has its own strength and drawback and we have to accept both .

I went to Himesh concert where Abhi, Vinit , Himani, Alisha sang too and accept or not but vinit got more crowd support than abhi ( may be bcoz of himani dont know😛) .

Hopefully this time Indian Idol gives us better singer and performer who has better looks , better smile and better xfactor also.Indian Idol should be like Indian Idol not someone who is only loved /liked by one section/region of people.
