I don't know to comment or not on Farah as lot of section guys miss her but I never liked her as jury.This time it might be different because Javed ji is there but there is Anu too so can't say.
SRGMP is also loosing its charm but still they have good singers.Why they sent Himesh to eastern region this time? Me too from entertainment stand point II is definately my choice, SRGM has been for years for never had that much interest as compared to II. 😊. Farah - I feel the job that she was assigned to get Indian Idol she was justify, barring few am okay with her, infact I miss the trio of old judges. Really after II-2, my respect and liking grew for Sonu N, matter of fact I specially went to see his live show here... he is awesome.

Javedji is definate value, hope judge this year working as a team justify and be fair to talent.

SRGM last weekend got upto speed with all the episode, Him though am neutral for him but sometimes his behaviour is not so .... hearing views that he throws his POV no matter what probably justifies some of his actions.. anyways .. no biggie in SRGM forum.. hope folkd here don't mind we discussing lil of srgm😳. BTW am amazed by Mauli Dave, talented with tons of potential - perhaps one thing that will make me go in srgm forum more often😃, cann't wait for her 2nd performance hope not to be disappointed. Bass abhi itna hi before someone yells.. get out of hear😆 😆

Whatever may be the voting pattern yaar I think both II 1 and 2 showcased some real talents ...

The fact that we as audience made choices, right or wrong, r our bewakoofi , not because there was any dearth of talents ...

I love to watch srgmp but the standard of srgmp emet was very poor barring 2 or 3 couples , even within them sometimes 1 stood out and the other totally failed to impress me !!!

The only uncomparable singer I found in srgmp was Nihira Joshi...others can be compared to Karu, Amey , Antara , Rahul, aditi, Meenal , prajakta , abhijeet ...

where Indian Idol fails ,is, promoting their talents after the show is over...

look at the concert where Himesh took Himani and Vineet for the world tour ..we constantly saw that ad in Zee highlighting Himani and Vineet along with Himesh of course....

but when Sonu Nigam had taken any Idol chahe woh Monali ho ya Meenal on a tour, we didn't see Sony putting up any ad ...it's just that we manage to find the articles or get 1st hand knowledge about them bec some of us have an access to the Idol directly.....

Just look at the li'l champs ...they r given so much footage after the show ( which in their case caused their singing talent going down the tube but that is another story)....

Bottomline ...It's not that Indian Idol has any shortage of talents ( I for sure wouldn't have joined IF and make this section my favorite place if I didn't believe in my Idols )...

But It's the lack of interest on part of the judges or Sony to promote these talents after the contest is over , is the problem....

For that I blame the channel and the judges , not the talents ....

I think, II section has mostly young members and II is 2-3 years old and it has a format similar to American idol and so it looks for not only a singer, but an entertainer. II members also creat topics on contestants' looks just for fun and make .That might give others an impression that II idol is only about everything else but singing!
No, doubt SRGMP has produced great singers. But, what did they do? they also started public voting and turned everything into a business.It's obviusthat SRGMP has a huge fan following who have been watching it for many years. So, they would find it close to their heart.

People will start talking about music once the show "really" starts. Sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa, sur, alaap, taal, laya, octave. 😃 How can we discuss seriously when we've only heard the singers sing for around 20 seconds each? 😕😆

Is SRGMP only about singing? I don't think so. On a whole, the show features better singers than Indian Idol. But yes, there a few sparkling diamonds from Indian Idol as well. Anyway, there are still controversies and drama in the SRGMP/C2007, maybe even more than Indian Idol. And of course, everyone swooning over either cute Adi and/or hot Shekhar. 😳😆

I agree with u ...everything is business these days ...

but I think the way Sony is showing the auditions made everybody feel whether it's about talent or looks ...but I have a feeling Sony will surprise us with the final product ..at least I hope so ....

I am a huge srgmp fan ..i have recorded almost all the golden moments of srgmp including guests like mehdi hassan, anil biswas , Naushad but I will still say that in recent years except Nihira Joshi ,there were comparable singers in Indian Idol .....
