Quality Surge of singing talent?

I love II, anyday! Involved from begining... but

Sorry Guys!! to bring this up, but based upon some recommendations I am watching SRGM, I knew SRGM is good from experience before, yet love II but after watching II and SRGM now, am seriously in deep thought, whats singing competition about.

SRGM beats II standards if we are talking singing quality. Do you disagree? Whats II about singing or something else?

First of all thanks for response! SRGMPa has started. Am amazed to see the singing. yeah we love II but worth giving one look.

As for II, it hooked me with the first season i used to be a great abhijeet fan at tht time and i really enjoyed the first season, Abhijeet was a good singer no doubt , but with Season 2 i almost thought i would never watch II the day Amey was voted out, he was such a great singer we couldnt accept him going out in the middle.

Same here I rooted for Karu, Meenal (week singer but had 👍🏼😳), Amey - the rang dey nasanti song sung by him still.. rings bell for me.

And for your question id say its a singing competition and as per the format its us audience who have to give priority to singing and let the best person win, but its the other way round when it comes to favourites, no matter what if my fav. contestant performs the worst in one gala also i wud still vote for him and thats why we dont know where the contests heads.. otherwise II is a good show other than the deserving ones going out at times.

I hear yaa... probably thats what am trying to say in difff post, make one's based on long term. Not just few performances, but I would suggest SRGM once, just started ,singers are good. at begining level, should send alarm to Sandipji,,,TOtally disappointed by today's II episode.

No offense anyone, please. I love II, just for the sake of music lovers and no I am a member from SRGM, am a bbian/ DMer.

This time I am following both II and srgmp from the start and the quality of the singers is definitely better in srgmp. I would think that it has to do with selection process. This year I am really disappointed in II selection. Though I liked one or two singers still no one till now appeared who blew me away with the singing whereas in srgmp there are already 4-5 outstanding singers and Mauli Dave who sang Maiyya Maiyya brought tears because she was so good. 👏

Indian Idol always maintained that this is a reality show and stressed on the X-Y-Z factor. But this time they clearly mentioned it is all about singing talent. But where is the talent? 😕
