She says "jaan layli jaaga pe," literally translates to "he took the life out of me on the spot" just meaning she was so in awe of how he sang, that she was shocked.

Hi everyone!!!

I am another fan of Devendra!! His voice is simply amazing. I know that singing is a lot of hard work but I feel a certain level of natural talent has to be there and Devendra seems to have that. With the talent he has and the dedication he seems to have for his music I am sure he will go far in his music career be it here in II6 or somewhere but hope he wins this :)

I think you may not be allowed to post link from other Forums because there are ads and copy roght issues involved. I guess you can still copy/paste the article and edit the ads. Indian Idol 6 Devendra Pal Singh singing impressed Lata, Asha

17 years old Indian Idol 6 contestant Devendra Pal Singh impressed and mesmerized the legend singers of music industry Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.

Asha Bhosle is one of the judges of Indian Idol 6. Asha ji calls Devendra Pal Singh as Sardar ji and she liked his singing from day 1 of the show.

In the yesterday's episode, Asha Bhosle was very much impressed with Devedra's singing for the song Saware. Asha ji Said that her sister (Didi) Lata Mangeshker told her that the Chota Sardar singing is "TERRIFIC".

Devendra Singh was very happy to hear praising from Lata ji.

Davinder Pal Singh has asked blessings from Lata Mangeshkar for a bright future.

It was very funny that Davinder Pal Singh couldn't even remember who is Lata when Asha mentioned about Lata Didi.
