Where did that come from? So, you think Karunya would do that, or are you struggling to com up with points?

People who live in US etc have no idea what they are talking about ,as their perception of India is totally different. So i know real India and how it behaves ( now you can doubt my intelligence but I am sure you yourself an Indian should understand more about real India) I watch American Idol also regularly and have many points to talk about that also.Still I want to know which point I gave was stupid so that I can tackle them one by one with you.

Last time I heard, none of the II judges, guests and other observers live in the US. But, their unanimous agreement is that Karunya is the best. So, your points really are not making much sense. Also, most of these votes are from SMS messages. I wonder where the poor people as you call them got all the spare money to send Sandeep to the top.

Which newspaper it was...can u plz let us know....!!!!!!! and Just 30 !! come on...there were more than 3,00,000 people voting for him untiring...ask me and I will be able to tell you which part n what time slot they were working for sandy - thats a passion and karu didnt have in his fans - number one reason.....likeability is second to state....pleasant presence is third one....mass appeal is fourth one...low in confidence for votes is fifth one...the list goes on n on and stops when singing abilities come in action - he just have singing brilliance....and perhaps, ppl were looking more than that...and their compromise wud not be the best in the interest of music world but who is claiming that these are the singing jewels...these are indian idol contestents.....
I guess pragya started this thread to tantalize what we think as the reasons why karu lost..her intentions are as pure as dew drops - to know what else is going on in mind of people other than what she herself felt so far....plz, dont deviate from the topic n just comment on what u feel....and it wud be better just to give ur reasons.....not comment on what others feel!! if u believe in accepting facts, try to realize what were the factors that brought Karu to Top 2 and why he then lost in the final race.....dont blame region...its more serious allegation...
karu lost coz destiny has somehting more for him....and he lost coz he must have not shown those factors other than his great singing abilities that ppl were looking for in their Idol...as simple as that...Karu himslef accepted that when he saw fan following for Sandy, he was kind of ready to accept the results and thats why he was well-composed in the results....be a bit realistic and open urself to the world...its more diverse that u might have think...

Again you all are far from reality . Indian small town people are no longer poor. And Judges do not vote do they? It was votes which was going to make one win, not high moral talks ,my dear. Be happy for a humble, pleasant and melodious Sandeep as he beat Karunya in vote counts. No need harping about the unfairness and all that. Rather be happy for the winner.

Again, your points are not very coherent. I understand that this is a multiple voting scheme, and if you are from NOT from a cosmopolitan place, the people there can get very mobilized for a hometown boy. That was a huge advantage for Sandeep. All of your other points don't make sense.

Don't pass off people in the US or overseas as nothing. They have a unique perspective on the true Indian spirit which you can sometimes only realize when you step away from the land. India itself is losing its character by people trying to imitate the west.

Hi!!

I tnk that the main reason is indian idol goes under contract for whatever time slot...and cannot sign up anything outside that....and me thinks karu is better off being no.2 coz now he will be free to sign up as many movies or albums he wants which he could not have done otherwise...think about this!!!!!!! ne ways recognition is what was required..sandeep is tooooooooooooo bad a singer to sustain....

Karunya didn't win because he did not get enough votes. He did not get enough votes because he could not get as many people mobilized to vote multiple times for him as Sandeep could. Karunya and Sandeep will both get opportunities in the music world. As will Hema, as will Nihira as will Monali etc.
The truth is that there are many opportunities out there, there are also many competitors...the field widens in fact.
Itis great that Karunya got all those compliments from the judges and guests. Now lets wait and see how many get translated into real offers. As for Sandeep, it will be interesting to see if he uses this platform and opportunity to grow as a singer. He has a great financial and contractual cushion to find time and space to grow.
