farah just wants to see some good dance steps in a contestants performance and that's all she needs....she keeps on repeating that she means you need to connect with the audience to give a good performance but she contradicts herself.....whenever she sees someone dancing on the particular song, she starts praising the person.......so many times i haven't felt connected to those whom she mentions to have given a better performance and most of the times i have felt much more connected to those who sing with their eyes closed and manage to bring out their inner emotions in their singing.....

absolutely right.. bcos at the end of the day an Indian Idols success will be measured by the no of cds/cassettes he/she sells..... not how good they danced!

I was just watching the ID- Gala March 6th videos. I was genuinely disaapointed today at the performance of Antara and Sandeep. But what amazed me even more was Farah's comments that his performance was good and she did not care about 'sur'.

So my question is..."So is this a dance/acting competition rathar than a singing competition"? Looks it it from her point of view as she consistently kept criticizing Meenal for "performance" even though some of her renditions were extremely well sung.

And on the other hand someone like Sandeep gets applauded even though his singing today was painful, even to a lay person like me.

It should be made clear from the very beginning to the judges what to give preference and should be reminded of that by the program directors if they seem to loose their way.

What do you think about this?

but i thik farah is a grate juge

you should've seen her at the begining of the indian idol.....i was pissed off at all the judges......they were actually so rude and.......oh well now farah doesn't even comment on singing!!!!!

I am confused abt fara's comments. when some one sings bad she says his performance was OK. I think performance mean singing n showing expression both
