There were more better singers in II 1.

I think that Ravinder Ravi is better than Anuj.

Indian Idol 1:

Aditi Paul: great voice (i have just been informed that she was in top 6..so take it that way)

Prajakta: superb voice, great personality (my Indial Idol)

Rahul: OMG...one of the best voices ever

Amit: great singer

Abhijeet: The most complete package (truely deserved winner)

Now.....I am very sorry to say that this years finalists have been a big let down...U know, I didn't watch II 1, but just watching or listening them once gave me an idea that how talented they are....

But this year....apart from Amey and Karunya, no one is worthy of being in top 5 (Anatara is good but not my top 5)....lets see them

Indian Idol 2:

Anuj: I dont know why is he here...he is a good singer, but boy! does he deserve to be in top 5

Sandeep: again...a very mediocre singer

Anatara: hhmmm....well its ok if she is in top 5

Karunya: Fabulous singer...can be matched with Amit Sana (talent wise)

Amey: superb, outstanding, brilliant ... he is the one who is keeping II 2 alive....

But overall, I have to admit that top 5 of II 2 are not actually the top 5....bring back Panna, Meenal and may be Monali as well and we have a perfect Top 5

actually it was ravinder ravi instead of aditi paul in final 5 and that still is a shocker to me. but other 4 were simply the BEST. prajakta, rahul vaidya, abhijeet & amit sana. all of them were so good that i wanted 4 of them to be indian idol as i could never decide who is the best among them. all 4 were just SUPERB.

now comparing II-2 with II-1, i don't think other than amey & karunya any of the other contestants are consistent. antara & meenal are very good but not consistent.

karu =amit sana
monali = dont think can be matched with anyone
panna = dont think can be matched with anyone...
meenal= aditi

Apart from Ravinder Ravi, the other 4 in II1 top 5 were extremely talented and consistent performers. This time there are 3 contestants who deserve to be in top 5 namely Amey, Antara and Karunya. Instead of Anuj and Sandeep, I would have loved to see Monali and Panna in top 5. I have no idea what mediocre singers like Sandeep and Anuj are doing in top 5.
