| He kicked off with the Indian Idol contest. Though Amit Sana missed the title for few votes his failure never became a hurdle for his success. After Kalyug this champion is all set to rock you all in his numbers in the forthcoming film Sun Zarra. How does it feel like entering in Bollywood as a playback singer? It really feels great to be associated with Bollywood. I never thought at this point of time I'll enter to Bollywood. Actually it's a miracle for me to be a part of Bollywood. How did u bag the movie? It was immediately after the Indian Idol contest. I was in a shopping mall, where I met Salim, our producer. He suggested that I sing for his film and I grabbed the opportunity. This film has a young and new star cast. Was it easy for you to sing for this film? Yes it was. It made my job easy, as all the star cast of the film is young and new. If I would have sung it for a renowned actor who has developed his own style then it would have become difficult for a newcomer like me. I didn't follow anything for voice I just did the way I do. What about music of the film? Music is very good not just because it's my first film but music director Sandesh Shandaliya has done it beautifully. It's more on romantic side. All the songs are good. There's a peppy song by Bombay Vikings, which is my favorite. I like other two songs: Sun Zarra, the title track and Unse Nazare Mili. I have four songs in the film. Do you relate to the character anyway? Ya, to a large extent. I am also from Bhilai. I came here in Mumbai to participate in Indian Idol and this is how I traveled this journey. So I think it is pretty much similar to my story. What is the Singing Contest all about? It's a sing and win contest. If you buy the original CD of Sun Zara then you will get a track along with it. Here you can record your voice send it to Paramount Entertainment Company. The judges will check the voice and if they find you suitable then they will give u the chance for their next project. With all the reality shows and contests it is easy to become singer. Do you feel its get competitive? Yes, definitely. It is becoming more and more competitive as there many contests are coming. Here only one person, the one who struggles will survive. Struggle is at every stage. It's easy to enter in the Competition but not that easy to keep sustaining in the field. What is more difficult for you singing for an album or playback singing? Playback is little difficult than singing for an album. However, in playback singing you have to think about plot or storyline in mind. Again it's something giving your voice to someone. I feel it's quite difficult. Tell us about your films. I signed this film first but eventually Kalyug released first. So it's was my first film where I sang Thi Meri Dastaan. I have been signed for Ek Tha Deewana and there's one more film in the pipeline. |
