Abhijeet Sawant has been in the limelight ever since he won the Indian Idol Contest. Abhijeet has now penned down his journey from a nobody to the people's hero singing his way into their hearts.

The book titled 'Aapka Abhijeet' is published by Popular Prakashan and will be launched at Crossword, Kemps Corner on February 1. The book gives an inside look into Abhijeet's life and little known facts about him

With his family —"I was never actually taught how to behave. My father's and mother's behaviour has always set an example before me"

With his baby sister — "I was proud to be called 'Dada' or elder brother. But when it came to my younger sister, I guess I fell short of my duties as an elder brother"

With his childhood friends — "We used to play a game called 'Orchestra Orchestra' I had only one role and that was of the lead singer. One brother would beat a plate and the other would play my father's guitar"

With Sanjay Kaka — "He is the most important person in our family and my mentor. Thank God, he saw the singer hidden inside"

His other passion— "I had a pure passion for cricket in my school days"

Friends forever — "All the secrets in my life I have entrusted to my friends. I have strong faith in them. There are no secrets between us"
