Ravi sang the song to perfection when he was asked to sing again after the results - maybe because he was relieved of the tension. Even during the piano round after Ravi finished singing Sonu Nigam said that I know he can sing better than that - so, the judges already know him to have a good voice but he did not deliver.
If he wants to go any further in this round he really need to improve his presentation and not get nervous and screw up the 'sur' when singing. He already has a lot of people turned off because most people(including me) think he was not as deserving as the other candidates based on the piano round.
Lets see how he does in the future. After seeing the actual results episode I am not as mad as I was when I first heard the results thru IF Tues. morning. Because at the end of the show I felt that yes, Ravi Tripathi can sing pretty well when he is at ease. Needs to really improve his presentation skills.
I do really feel bad for Kshitij though. He really sang better and performed well in the piano round. Maybe his status as a married man and constantly looking at his wife did not go well with the public, since most people who vote are young. Even when they were announcing the results he kept looking at his wife and was even blowing kisses at her. I didn't think that even if got selected he would go too far as I am not sure the Indian public would like a married man as the Indian Idol.
